Babolat Jet Mach 3, does the improvements make this best shoe in market ?

That’s the goal—and slogan—of Babolat’s JET Mach 3. The shoe franchise has established itself as one of the lightest models on the market that still maintains enough support to be a dependable game day option for serious competitors. The low-to-the-ground profile and streamlined cut also add to its speediness. However, these elements—especially the tight fit—has been a limiting factor for some players.

Babolat decided to make some changes to the JET to increase its comfort and accessibility. For this third edition, the shoe was made on the same last as the company’s Fury shoe. For those unfamiliar with the Babolat lines, this gives the JET a wider forefoot and truer sizing. Previous models could be run narrow and short, which some found both confusing and unforgiving. This change should broaden the range of players capable of using the shoe.

One of the reasons the JET manages to have enough support with such low weight is its Matryx upper. The jacquard-woven fabric combines high-strength Aramid and Polymid fibers for enhanced lateral stability. This update has a new yarn diameter and zero monofilaments to increase elasticity and comfort in the upper. The JET 3 is slightly heavier than its predecessor, but it’s still exceptionally quick and agile.

In terms of cushioning, the KPRSX system has been upgraded with a softer, shock-absorbing EVA foam to take more of the sting out of harsh landings. The heel rocker has also been enhanced for better stopping and smoother transitions. Again, the goal being to create a more comfortable ride without sacrificing

The Michelin outsole has also been reengineered. The surface and thickness have been increased at pressure points for less abrasion, as well as reduced at low impact points. It also has a wider lateral flange to promote a more stable base. The changes aim to make the shoe even more responsive.

The JET Mach 3 launches May 11 and retails for $130. Check back in the coming weeks for more detailed reviews.

I do find it confusing that so many shoe companies can't seem to put the right size number on their shoes.

What is so hard about putting 11E on a box and it actually being right?

According to TW, the Babolat Propulse Fury AC has a slightly narrow forefoot. So which is it?

That's a reasonable point, but when I buy two pairs of shoes of the SAME BRAND and one size 11 is 2cm longer than the other size 11 .. I just scratch my head.

Interesting that people can be too lazy to learn what 11E means, but will happily waste hours returning shoes until they get a pair where the size of the shoe reflects what is written on the box.

Quick question, do you actually wear the Jet mach 2 ? if so, how was the support of the shoes ? on quick direction changes and lateral stability ? and ankle stability ?

No, I currently wear Adidas Solecourt Boost for practice and Mizuno Wave Exceed 4 for matches. Given your report of the Jet Mach 3 being wider, I would consider them as a replacement for the Mizuno .. which for width are on the snug side of comfortable.

Would love to hear more people’s review on these.
I just picked up a size 13 and they fit wonderful. I either do a 12.5 wide or a regular 13 in most shoes, these 13s were still the perfect length and very roomy for my toes to still move around in widthwise. In comparison my asic solution speeds are far tighter.

these JM3 are super comfortable on the court and I imagine they’d be terrific for everyday kick around shoes too (other than the price point).
I can’t really comment on how much I’m able to zoom around the court yet as I havent had a full on Match On hardcourt yet. That said, I haven’t accidentally slipped around at all, so I’m getting good grip in practice.

What about heel slippage or ankle stability ?

Just snagged a pair of these on sale. Fit true to size. No heel slippage. Can't comment on the stability yet but the fit is great and zero break in and obviously incredibly light. Will let you know how it feels moving around when I get the chance. But if you're willing to take a gamble to add em to your arsenal you can get them for around $80 right now.

It is rough all shoe makers design shoes differently. Feet are widely different. Hard to get a true 11e that will always work for you and everyone else. Where do you measure the width and so many points not that measurement point. Anyways I think they should scan all shoes to get a 3d model...then people have their feet scanned and it recommends shoes which should work. Even then shoes from the same maker will have tolerances.

Let me know where you end up. I love the Mizuno Wave Exceed 4. I switch between it and older K-Swiss Hypercourt Supreme. Rumor has it the recent ones are narrower:(

Reviews everywhere on this shoe very positive. Foot Doctor Zach has picked it as one his five best a number of times. Seems like a solid pick-up if you are looking for a quality speed shoe at this price.

Its a really, really good shoe. Unfortunately the color choices are terrible. They have a boring all white one and the ridiculous purple/green one.

@Babolat Official hope you come out with some new colorways.

They are a really great offering, got two pairs at a local store for $75 each. Been my shoe of choice about a month now and am very happy with the Jet Mach 3s. Gonna wear through them and then once they're done, @The Big Kahuna has directed me to trying the Propulse Fury 3s as well. Am hearing fantastic things about those, and the colorways are nice.

yea i thought as much. I think Mach 3 just has superior cushioning by far. but not sure about support department like ankle support ?

Reminder that you asked about the Speed FF2, and I own de Court FF2.

IMO the Jet Mach 3 is great for lateral movements, as it has a wider middle base. It has a tongue, though, while the Court FF2 is "one piece" (not sure how to name the parts in English - not my first language, sorry). That makes the Asics support feel a little bit better, but the other parts of the Babolat made them superior in my case.

I had some issues with the Asics sizing. The Court FF2 is too long. The Babolat is too small, though, so I had to order half a size larger than I usually wear.

I'm on the heavy side, though: 5'11" and ~220lbs. Needed to get to 190-180 range.

Just ordered the white color due to the great deal tw was running. Excited to see how they compare to the Mach 2s. Supposedly they have fixed some of the sizing issues.

The sole on this is the worst I have ever experienced... with 1 month of light practice in a porous hard court, it ripped a gaping hole in the sole... and a big 3inch segment of that sole simply dissapeared...

Fortunately, TWE were honourable in handling this epic fail of this model.

Maybe it was a faulty pair? Mine have held up great and I've been very happy with them. Just a littttttlllee narrow width in the toe area but other than that, amazing. Super light, super durable, and great support. And, blasphemous maybe, they are an amazing pickleball shoe too which means you can wear the same shoe for both tennis and PB.

So far I’ve really enjoyed these shoes. I feel like there is plenty of room in the toe box and the fit is excellent. Definitely an upgrade to the narrow mach 2s. And as much as I like the jet tere, the Mach’s definitely show to be the superior shoe and require almost zero break in.

Just copped a pair. -60% off on TW Europe. First impressions after trying them on: Fit is true to size. I've seen mixed comments on this, but I'd say either this or at most a 1/4 size small. TW reviewers thought true to size and I have no problems with that. I went with my usual size and for me the shoe is not too tight nor too short. Not much room left either if one prefers that. I prefer more so a glove like fit. They feel very light, comfortable and cushioned right out of the box. I have a medium to narrowish foot with medium arch. I like the look of the shoe. Got the Blue Ribbon colorway. May get back to this later on once I've put them to the test out on the court.
