Hi, I have actually the babolat pure control team. I find that this racquet is perfect. Nice control, balance, weight and stiffness. Unfortunately this racquet has been discontinued so I would like to buy a new model. I tried the new babolat pure storm tour but I really don't like it. This racquet felt much softer and it doesn't have the control of the pure control team. I saw the new aero storm tour. This racquet looks very good on paper. How does it feel vs the babolat aero storm tour? I am a baseline player, nstc 6.0. Thank you!

I too have a Pure Control Team ANd relly like the stick. But as you mentioned, it has been discontinued. So i wound up with 3 PST's. As much as I like thte PCT, I like the PST that much better. But I do have a AST on order. Let us know what you think of the AST as compared to the PCT and PST. I need all the help I can get....

control vs aero storm
Ok, but i will be able to try my aero storm tour only in 2 weeks. If someone played with the pure control team and tryed the aero storm tour, please post your comment. For me the pure storm tour (vs the pct) is only better on serve, for the rest the pct is much more better in my opinion!!

I tried the new aero storm tour last week. This racquet is a real joke, absolutly no control, and the balance is very bad!! I am babolat player and I tried all babolat racquets and this one is the worst. But the string was a babolat xcel very soft, maybe with a good polyester string it could be possible to hit the ball with this racquet. By the way I demo the new babolat aero storm limited, amazing racquet, good control, well balanced. If you like small frame and stringing pattern 18X20 you will love this racquet. I am a 6.5 player.

I find this statement very hard to comprehend (especially re the supposed better control of the PC)...

BTW, Interesting to hear the negative opinion for the Aero Storm Tour and the praise for the new Pure Storm Ltd (I think that's the racquet you were referring to ^)... I must say, I wonder how it compares to the i. Prestige MP (one of my favorite 18x20's ever)?

To me, the PCT plays much better than the Aero Storm in all aspects. I suggest you try out the APDC, the normal PS, or the PSL. I understand that the PS and the PSL has much lower flex than the PCT but they play really good. The APDC plays considerably good as well even though it is light, you should try leading this up.
Well I'm not using the AST, but I can say that the AS is a great racquet. The perfect blend of control and power, as well as a slightly denser (than Pure Drive) string bed, which once again makes for controllable power and lots of spin. By the way, mine's strung with NXT 17 @ 55lbs, but I've also played with an excel/hurricane hybrid and whilst that was hard on the arm, the effects were nice.

I felt the aero storm tour had more power then the pure control team. But I played with polyester string in my pure control team and the demo aero storm tour had a very soft xcel string. Maybe it's the reason was so bad!! By the way the pure storm limited is very nice. I had a head prestige couple of year ago and these 2 racquets are similar. maybe little more power with the pure strom limited and little more control with the prestige but more spin with the babolat. If you like the head prestige you will probably like the psl. But I didn't play very much with this one so i can't make a good comparaison! The pure storm limited is not for everybody, you need to have a good level to appreciate this racquet. The frame is small and the hole are small, so the sweet spot is small and due to the small hole this racquet don't spin the ball very much. The best for me is the pure control team, the new pure storm tour is very close to the pct, pure storm tour little bit more softer, with 1-2 pound more in your string it help (for me).
