Barricade II or III

Dilemma....
As far as price goes, I can get the III's for just as cheap as the II... possibly cheaper, BUT.....
i've been reading the reviews and feedbacks on tw... and i'm getting the impression that the older model is better than the newer one.

Most of the changes in the III's mention... superior durability... better design, wider fit, and a lot more heavier.

I'm not too concerned about the durability, as long as it doesn't wear out in the first couple weeks, but I don't want the shoes to make me sluggish on the court. I want to be able to get to the drop shots and short balls without tripping over myself or running into the net... or tripping into the net.

My k-swiss right now are slightly big for me, and the sides are kind of tearing, so my last practice... I completely ate it and skid when sprinting for a drop ball, and also somehow got on the side of my shoes and hurt my ankle going for a wide ball. and... I need new shoes

Barricade III no matter they are heavy but barricade II don't have enought cushioning to last beyond 2-3 months

BIII: more cushion, wider fit, more durable, heavier

BII: more low to the ground feeling, snug fit, lighter

I've worn both, but prefer the BII's.

Exactly my feelings. Both are great shoes but all things considered I'd go with the BII...I just liked them a bit better. Plus the BII is usually cheaper than the BIII.

The III are heavier but if you are in shape the weight won't bother you and will feel better than II. Also the III are very stable.

I have both, and you really can't go wrong. I bought 2 pairs of B3's a month ago when I found them on sale. I have not tried the 4's, and as long as their is a 30-40 price difference I won't!

I'm on B IV right now...i like it better than III's. The IV are definitely more snug than III. Buying III is kinda tricky; i would stay away from the black/sliver , sliver/black colors, they seem to lack cushioning on the forefoot area, leaving too much gap for lateral movement. The blue/yellow, blue/baby blue, black/red, silver/blue, doesnt have that problem. I've also tried the II, and agree that they dont have enough sole cushioning. The IVs are definitely bulky and heavier than the previous versions, but I like it a whole lot better.

The II's were selling for $110 at a local sports store in the black and blue colors. When they brought out a white pair, it was marked down to $49.99. I bought it, tried it, liked it, then went back to the store to buy the remaining two they had in stock. Exact same shoe in white was $60 less than the same sneaker in black?!? Who knows why. All I know is I got 3 good Barricade II's that fit reasonably well for $49 each!

Haven't tried the III's yet. Once these wear out maybe..

I just got my Barricade IIIs about a week or two ago. I'd say go for Barricade IIs definately. The IIIs don't seem to grip the court as well and they don't feel as snug.

ive tried on the 2s and the 3s.
the 2s hold your feet in like a straight jacket...
thats great, but not enough cushioning... if you can play with this shoe, i say your bones have some rubber in them.
3s feel better, same snug fit and the right amount of cushioning.
having said that, its beyond me how anyone can go past the slick styling of the 4s.

i've tried the 2, 3 and 4's.

Weight does NOT become a big issue, becoz you get used to the added weight ather quickly.

I personally recommend the 3's for these reasons. First, they are the most stable shoes I've worn before; there's no question about ankle support and cushioning. Secondly, they are ultra durable. It took me 6 months playing 3 or 4 times weekly to put minimal wear and tear on the forefoot portion of the soles. In contrast, I've tried Nike tennis shoes, and they just dont last a fraction as long as the barricade 3's.

The 2's felt like they had no cushioning (very minimal) and I didnt find good ankle support (this is from someone who has played basketball and endureed many sprained ankles)

The 4's felt pretty good, but I didnt feel they were as stable as the 3's. I enjoy the looks of the 4's the most, however.

So if ur into looks, I'd recommend the 4's.
However, overall, I'd have to say the 3's are the best. I am persoanlly sticking with the 3's until I cant find any more pairs for sale.
