Does anyone have a suggestion for a racquet for a beginner??? My girlfriend as been trying to pick up the game for years now and is using an older Prince model not sure which one but it is yellow and blue, a very colorful racquet. She complains that her wrist hurts and I feel that it is too heavy for her. For those in the know I was wondering if you could give me any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Not to be a broken record, but the Prince TT Warrior MP or OS (whichever she likes more) is a very good beginner racquet. Also very affordable. :)

Volkl V1 Classic. Plays great right out of the box. It also grows with your game also. No need to keep buying another racquet as your skills improve.

Hard to say why her wrists hurt without seeing her swing. Is her racquet maybe too light? A lot of wrist injuries occur from the racquet being too light and thus being unable to absorb vibration shock. However, it could also be her swing mechanics, especially if she is not keeping her wrist firm through contact.

For a female beginner a good place to start might be an evenly-balanced 10-ounce frame, this will be easy to swing without too much shock. The Prince Thundercloud and Scream OS are nice beginner's sticks, and quite affordable at $60 strung. The Warrior is good too but might be too heavy unless she is pretty strong.
