Best, but cheapest electronic stringing machine?

dfw… did you have any problems mounting the adapter plate to either your machine base or the wise once the adapter plate was ready? Looking at the photos on TW's page, it's not clear how the wise would attach to the the adapter and still be able to slide along the bar unless it's much longer and not shown in the photo. If the bar is indeed longer, then it would make more sense.

I have an older model DC and was mulling over whether or not this might be worth considering.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

The Wise does not slide it is fixed. The gripper sides (so to say) on a threaded rod inside the Wise.

I ordered the "Drop weight adapter" from TT it fits perfectly no drill needed. I'll snap a photo post it here.

I've seen the photos, just was curious how the wise itself attaches to the adapter. It seems to have a channel that slides over the silver bar pictured, while the adapter show 3 screw holes but I don't see the holes on the wise that match up.

I can probably call and ask, but since you said it went on with no problems, it's probably a non issue.

Irvin, thanks. Looks like the same principle as a garage door opener.

You are absolutely correct depending on the type of stringer and Garage door opener. The Wise has a shaft driven Gripper assembly while others (like Babolat) have a chain driven Gripper assembly.

If you look at the Adapter there is a vertical plate that has three holes. The Wise bolts to that side. There is a horizontal plate that has two holes. That is where the Adapter bolts to the base of the stringer once you take off the drop weight.

EDIT: For example, here is how you convert a drop weight to Wise electronic

Irvin is correct. instead of using the adapter shipped with Wise Tension head, you use the drop weight adapter. Here is a youtube clip on install Wise on a Prince Neos 1000 the same principle applies to Alpha DC drop weight other then remove the drop wight tensioner tower than install adapter on the tesioner base.
