Best Cheap Racquet?

Unfortunately, I forgot my racquet in New York and I'm based in Texas for the summer and been itching to play tennis. I was wondering what are my best options for a racquet under $40-50? I usually play with a Wilson BLX Pro Tour (96 in.) with big banger luxilon strings if that matters

Put an ad in the Wanted section, saying you'll pay up to $50 shipped. See who bites and pick the one you fancy.

That's why you purchase multiple racquets.

Also, do you have a trusted friend/family member who has access to your house? You can ask them to ship your racquet.

My house is 2 hours away from my family and all my friends are home as well, otherwise I would've gone that route

It's called e##y...put an E before "bay" and it is filled with $100-$300 racquets that you can and will get below $50. Don't be a fool...anything under that in a department store is crap...get a real stick, just get one used. IN FACT YOUR STICK IS ON THERE FOR $50 "buy it now" free shipping right now!!!

Also go with TW's used stock, Craigslist, and Used sporting goods stores, thirt shops.

The thing is I don't trust used racquets, as I had one sent to me cracked and it was a hassle trying to get the money back. Some sellers don't even realize they are selling broken racquets honestly

I would be leery of the big auction site. Lot of counterfeit frames out there. If you get a frame that needs grommets replaced, there's your savings gone.

When you can buy a very good new frame on TW for $60-80, I just don't see it.

TW guarantees their "used" racquets ... you have 30days to return for full refund, and they pay the shipping costs .... plus whenever I've purchased one it has been in better condition than rated. .... you can't go wrong and as stated above many of the "new" sale racquets are close to your price range.

Brand new Head MG or LM Radical here on TW are giveaway priced and suit a wide range of players in either MP or OS version.

Buy 2 and problem gone....

Haven't tried the TW used program but I would not hesitate.

TW always has some good deals on used racquets. Its a trusted source and no risk because you can return for 30 days I believe. That's where I'd look.

Make sure you research the seller and see that they are frequent "bay" users with a good rating. If so any potential "scam" is diminished since a grievance against them can be filed and a bad rating will hurt them, so they will work with you.

In purchasing and in selling 12 plus quality racquets on "bay" I've only had one bad experience, and the seller resolved it immediately (wrong grip size).

The fact is we are enthusiast, and a lot of the sellers on the auction sites have no idea the value of what they have. They are simply doing spring cleaning, or moving, etc, and they come across a tennis racquet in the basement or garage that there daughter/son, husband, grandpa, whatever used to play with and they dump it.

My best snags so far are K factor 6.1 95 (not fake, I had new ones to compare to and they are as identical as Wilson can be) for $32 shipped (auction ended at 2am eastern time, so was just luck), and a $7.00 immaculate Head Graphite Pro.
