What junior programs do guy believe are the best in Florida and California. By junior I mean 6-12. This could be academy or private trainer.

In Florida I think Andrei Kozlov and Rick Macci have the best programs for young children.

A friend of mine has an academy next to Andrei and can't stop praising him... He believes Andrei is one of the best at developing young children... he believes Andrei instills a certain work ethic/discipline that's needed to be a world class tennis player... high praise from a peer...

Bolliteri academy for FL. My private tennis coach who use to be a pro went there. He said that it was like torture, but hey, it makes you into a better pro than anywhere else. I think thats its only for double digit ages.

I think what Bolletieri does so well is that he know exactly when to put certain Juniors into correct level of tournaments. He seem to know exactly when the junior is ready for 12's 14's, 16's and so on. he does not rush them. he feeds them pile of hot air but he knows how to bring them along.

So you're friend must be Bill or Robert. Either way I agree. However, he isn't for everyone. He doesn't coddle, I expect he teaches the way he was trained in Russia.

Yes, Bill is a good friend of mine and yes Andrei has a certain method of teaching that may not be for everybody but definitely has been successful with more than a few...

What Bolleteri does well is market himself. He gives juniors scholarships who already play at a world class level, and charges the rest of the suckers a ton of money. He doesn't really develop players. This is why Sharapova flew to CA to see Lansdorp when she was on scholarship at Bolleteri.

Yea, it does cost a lot of money and perhaps the special get through easy financially. But, the players do really develop. My coach told me that they'd run very hard drills all day.Thats what gets ya to be a pro.

I don't think he takes children below 9.

There's several reputable places in Florida that have yet to get any mention here.

Saviano certainly understands junior tennis development as does Harold Solomon. Be prepared to write a check but, you'll also get results if you are willing to make the commitment to these programs.

A few others worth noting are Juan Nunez (Radical Tennis) and Lorenzo Beltrame (HPI). Both of these guys have impressive playing/coaching resumes and both are developing sons and/or daughters that play.

The International Tennis Academy in Delray Beach has a nice program.

Rick Macci is amazing, but expensive. When you have taught the Williams sisters, Mary Pierce, Roddick, Capriati I think you earn that money. Rick does very well with the 6-12s.
