Good hitting chaps - thanks for posting. I look forward to the point play.

(I think I'd prefer to play you both on slow clay!!).

Thanks Moz! Anytime you are in Nashvegas give us a call. Geoff has two private har-tru courts he keeps in (predictably!) immaculate condition. :) Best, BHBH

I didn't know the customization business was so lucrative!
The Hartru courts are owned by the neighborhood HOA. I oversee the maintenance and we are fortunate to have the support of the Board to keep them in great condition.

Well, still pretty nice.

I have a friend with a clay court in his backyard (my only video is on that court) surrounded by woods. It's a nice place to play away from the cares of the world.

There must be a lot of tennis players in your association to support the maintenance of two clay courts. I don't think that you'd see something like this in our area - tennis is just not that big up here, likely because of the weather. It's definitely the indoor season in my area but we've had no problems getting court-time in the popular noon hour and I don't see things as that busy in the evenings either.

Actually there is not an active tennis community at all. We have 2100 homes and 4 courts (2 hard courts / 2 Hartru courts). The facility was a private club that the HOA purchased in 2010. There is only one good active player in the neighborhood. @BounceHitBounceHit knows him as well. He assists in the maintenance. We have no problem getting a court plus I have access to the master reservation system. So in essence it's like having private courts without the cost involved!

Perhaps they were part of the construction in a time when tennis was far more popular than it is today. 2,100 homes in an association is really huge - like a small town. That number of homes would certainly support tennis courts. Sounds like you guys can play whenever the weather is good.

And it's a beautiful setting!

We are very lucky to have both excellent indoor and outdoor just moments away. [emoji106]

The biggest flaw that I can see is that BHBH has a WTA forehand while Geoff has a pre ATP/WTA type forehand that is virtually extinct nowadays on the tennis courts and can only be referred to as the "Navigator forehand". I am afraid but you cannnot go past low 4.0 with such evident flaws in your game. Other than that; very nice hitting and thanks for posting guys!
Armchair rating by Windsor.

Can they beat LeeD?
I googled LeeD's video of him beating up on a 3.0, maybe, to make him look good. That said, hitting ove r 115 balls in a row is an indication of excellent mental concentration, footwork, hand eye coordination and racquet skills. The true test is what happens under pressure when they need to make the passing shot 8 all in the 3rd set tie break. That is the reasoning behind practicing with a purpose. These guys are practicing with a purpose. Another aspect of the game that you cannot see on video, which is the most important, is the mental game.

You are either confused or this is some masterful trolling.:p

Didn't watch the whole video of BHBH and Geoff but I'm reducing BHBH's rating because of the knee brace. 3.0 at best.

I also encourage you two to hit the ball harder. I might not be able to sustain a hundred hit (OK, let's be honest a twenty hit) rally, but I often hit hard enough so that the ball hits the back fence without bouncing once.

I claim 2.5 so thank you! And I would get too tired if I hit harder because of my heavy, obsolete frame. Best, BHBH

This guy can't be more than a 4.0 then.

I played doubles with a junior and he hit a few balls with my racquet. He hits a hard, heavy topspin ball with the Pure Drive (not sure if it's the Roddick or not). He hit the second ball into the back fence about ten feet high with his normal stroke and told me that it was the heaviest racquet that he's ever hit with. I have no doubt that BHBH can hit a lot harder given what I know about his ability to handle high swingweight frames.

now you are talking... you are seeing what I am seeing.

Hi, I am a real tennis player, no armchair! I was mocking some of the stuff that is talked here but you obviously did not get it as you are new. Obviously both guys play at a very good level adjusted by their age.
I appreciate that. It takes guts to post a video like that. Kudos the Geoff and BHBH.

Interestingly Dolgo can't hurt anybody with that slice though. He's usually 1st or 2nd round player as far as I remember.
He is currently ranked at 36, with a career high of 13, which basically means his game, including his slice, is good enough to bother ~90% of the ATP.

I am always amazed that even people on a tennis forum think that if you aren't top 10 you are no good as a tennis player.

That's because outside of top 10, there are just too many guys including some of the worst guys! So really, that group is no good!!!! LOL

Also, for the business of spectating, any talent less than quarterfinal level is absolutely no good to me. They extremely rarely produce epic tennis. You might watch everything, but I don't.

I dont watch everything, but i still know the truth is that people like dolgopolov still kick ass compared to the rest of the tour. I understand it from the business of spectating point of view, but you are fooling yourself if you think top 50 players are not world class athletes.....

Well @BounceHitBounceHit and I finally got the nerve to post a video of some on court action for the Talk Tennis peeps viewing pleasure. A special thanks to @onehandbh for his editing skills (which far exceed our tennis skills). We thought there was more footage recorded but the battery did not cooperate. We are doing more filming tomorrow am. We hope you enjoy the videos.

People are joking with the 2.5 stuff right? Sorry if my sarcasm meter is off. You guys have all the fundamentals down and hit very well.

With our advanced age it must be falling! Even the video camera can't stay on long enough for us to show a full session or we are technically challenged (another sign of advanced age).

We move so slowly that we need longer-lasting batteries to capture a game or TB!! But you guys must admit our BetaMax videos turned out nicely!! [emoji106]

Our one sore disappointment is that no one noticed we started the warm-up using the handle of the racket! Then we realized it was so much easier to hit using the string bed!

There was also a TB that we played where BHBH thrashed me with vintage shots hit by BHBH that did not get recorded due to batteries running out much to our dismay.
