Blade Question for Andy

Hey Andy

Just curious to know what your current tournament setup is for the Blade 98 18x20. What does it weigh and if you do weight it up, how much lead/silicone/leather grip do you use and where do you apply it?

I traditionally like my racquets heavier but I would rather have a platform for beefing it up from someone like you.

I actually switched out of the Blade 98 last fall and into the Yonex EZONE Ai 98. But, when I was using the Blade they were about 11.8 ounces strung and 4 points head light. One of them I had was just stock while two others I had to put weight in different places to bring them up to that spec.

Thanks Andy much appreciated.
If you don't mind me asking, why did you make the switch?
I found the AI 98 to have a stiff/firm feel upon impact and I felt it was actually a bit erratic on groundstrokes, so I am looking to the blade for more control and comfort. I currently use a graphene radical mp customized to 350 grams. Thanks for your input.

I thought the Ai 98 was a little livelier, more spin-friendly and offered a softer feel.
