BLX Pro Open vs. BLX Surge

banter

Semi-Pro
*Title should be BLX Pro Open vs. nPro Surge*

Right now I am demoing the Pro Open (Wilson Hollow Core Strings) and I have noticed that it is very similar in specs to my Wilson nCode nPro Surge, which I love dearly. Here are the specs I posted on another post:

nPro Surge
Head Size: 100 sq. in.
Length: 27 in.
Weight 10.3 (unstrung)
Balance 7 pts HL (It says 7 also on the PRO OPEN)
Not sure on the swingweight or stiffness
String Pattern: 16 Mains / 19 Crosses
String Tension: 53-63 pounds

Pro Open
100 sq. in. / 645.16 sq. cm.
Length: 27 inches / 68.58 cm
Strung Weight: 11.1oz / 314.68g (10.5oz unstrung)
Balance: 4 pts HL
Swingweight: 318
Stiffness: 66
String Pattern: 16 Mains / 19 Crosses
String Tension: 53-63 pounds

One would think that these sticks would fair the same, but they don't so far. At net the Pro Open is great, but I am struggling from the baseline. It just doesn't feel like I am connecting with the ball as I would with my nPro Surge. Could this be the strings? Or is the BLX composition?

I've also looked into the Wilson BLX Surge, but I am not currently demoing it. Is it worth a shot? What can y'all tell me about it or in other words what can I expect if I do demo it?
