Hi,
I have been reading the forums for a while but first time posting
I recently bought the Gamma-X2 stringing machine and strung my first racquet. This was a hybrid with the mains ( poly at 57) and crosses ( multi at 54). After doing some research I realized I had the numbers switched around. There is a lot of movement in the crosses and the control is not very good. I have some syn gut strings which came with the machine but no more polys. I have ordered some from TW and they should be coming in Tuesday.
So the question is this - I know doing everything over would solve the problem - but is there any value in just cutting out the multi crosses and replacing with syn gut at a higher tension? Are there any downsides to this? I did not see any movement in the poly mains.
Cheers,
Manny
