I need to build the size of my handle a bit... i was thinking of using 2 overgrips, one on top of anoher... will the handle be too cushiony? does anyone use 2 overgrips on their racquet?

Look into using athletic tape. I discussed the procedure of that many times already, so just search that up. Problem solved!

I have some stringing customers that like to add one absorbent overgrip over another over another....and so on and so on. They leave them on for months.
They stink so bad, when I string them, that I have to put a plastic bag over the grip while I am standing over them.

I'm going to keep the first overgrip on my racquet clean and then add another overgrip and keep replacing that second over grip.. maybe that will help the smell hahaha. :)

One thing about the multiple grips thingy, is that it can 'round out' your grip, making the bevels less pronounced. Just something to consider.

Will two overgrips make a big difference? And I can try stretching the first overgrip to prevent that from happening.

Two overgrips makes the edges just a little bit hard to feel, if the base is synthetic grip instead of leather, but it's prefectly playable. Grip is a personal thing; I think I read in another thread where they had a test where people played with different sized grips regardless of their "normal" grip size and it didn't make much difference at all (at least for us tennis hacks).

When I first started tennis and bought my racket, I had no idea that I was supposed to use the "right" size handle. Got L4, stupidly put a thick cushioned replacement grip over the original cusioned grip, then put 2 more over grips. It was almost perfectly round.

Eventually my friend intervened and got me to rehab to an L3 + 1 over grip.

Just try 2 over grips and see if you like it.

A 3 pack if grips is cheap. Just do it! I always have 2 overgrips on my sticks. People say it can round the handle. If your non dominant hand can't adjust the stick properly without the bevels...you can't be a NTRP 4.0 +

I will definitely try it out.. I dont think i need the bevels anyways..

You may want to consider leather main grip with two over grips.

The leather will give you strong bevel definition and if you use OGs that aren't too thik you should still be able to find the bevels.

I dont like to use overgrips for this purpose. It makes the bevels rounder and rounder each time. Use a heat shrink sleeve or just I leather grip. I use Leather and Gamma tac. :)

I tried the 2 over grip thing, but I hated it after around a month. The bevels just got SO rounded, and I was using a super grap under a tourna grip XL. I just didn't care for the feel at all!

That's because I love really sharp bevels. Leather/tight synthetic + Tourna grip is my favorite! :)

you can make bevels with the overgrips. I have 4 on mine, why you might ask? grips a 3/8 but I prefer a 5/8. Its a prince so the grip is already round, plus its like holding a pillow lol.

I would wrap all the grips tightly, including the original grip. It shouldn't be an issue if you don't mind less defined bevels.

Two overgrips is just fine. Tried it, liked it. You can even vary the level of overlapping and how tight you put each overgrip if you need fine tuning for the overall grip size.
