Call for 2019 All TT Team Candidates

The past couple of years, I've posted "All TT Teams" at several levels with the top-8 players according to my ratings for TT members that opted in to being considered. Here for example are a few from the past:

I am game to do 2019 year-end All TT Teams at any level there is sufficient interest. I'll start with those members that had opted in last time around, but open it to anyone that is interested. I just need to know your TT screen name and your real name (DM me here or e-mail me at ratings@teravation.net) and I'll add you to my candidate list. No one's real identity will be shared or exposed, I only use it to find you to calculate your rating. If you had opted in before and don't want to be a candidate this time around, let me know.

I'll let folks indicate interest for a few days and look to start posting the All TT Teams mid/late next week. The ratings I use will be my ratings with my year-end calculations applied.

Are there even enough 3.5 women around here for there to be a cut?
Most of my 2019 matches were mixed or combo mixed; I only had 3 completed tri-level matches and played like a flaming heap of trash in those, so I will spare myself the embarrassment of submitting myself for this year.

Our 2020 league season started in October and that's been going much better. Again mostly mixed, but also some tri-level matches that have been much better - so maybe next year :).

I’ll be interested to see if i make the list because i was managing my rating early in the year due to being in the appeal range the year before. FWIW, this is a questionable strategy because when it came time to play without managing the rating, i was far from sharp and i don’t think i played as well as i would have had i played 100% all year.

You have a chance to make up for all of that this weekend in the “Pro Division” doubles tournament that they put all the 4.5s into. I hope you sharpen up those skills in a hurry.

I can hang out in that middle of the 3.5 pack with you.

I am thinking the women are getting left out this year ... perhaps due to lack of participation .... you and I will just have to enter a tournament instead LOL, unless @schmke is just too caught up in the Great Southern Bump of 2020

Lack of participation? There are 168k women playing USTA league compared with 106k men. My guess would be that the ladies also play on more teams per capita so I'm not sure that's the case.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the contrast of USTA players vs TTW posters W/R/T male:female ratio?

More women actually play tennis and more men talk about tennis.

Yea, and 167k of those women have better stuff to do than talk to idiots like us on the internet.

Come on out to Vegas .... this Spring there is a high likelihood that I will be heading to NYC and/or Philadelphia if that is near-ish your stomping grounds. I have thus far played with 5 different TTers, would love to add some more!

Vegas! You know, I’ve never been! I’m not sure why I thought you were in Southern.

Philly is a possibility. I’m right outside DC, but grew up in eastern PA. My mom is still up that way.
