Carlos Alcaraz won the first wooden spoon in his career at Astana.

We're comparing finals to finals not early round vs final.
It took you a week to come up with that? Anyway, my comparison only served to show you how impossible is to directly compare different matches vs different opponents in different tournaments, under different circumstances but you took it literally...

I understand. But you swept away Agassi in favor of Djokovic despite Djokovic not facing anyone as good as 2005 Fed.

The bolded is an absurd statement.

And Djokovic at 35 didn't face someone like Federer.
It's not. Federer improved much in many ways but it didn't show in his results because he got toughest possible competition in Nadal and Djokovic.

IMO, 35 yo Djokovic would be very tough nut to crack for 2005 Federer (who at the time didn't have an idea how to play such player) but no way to be sure of result.

Didn't Nadal have one the year he lost to Verdasco down under?
I know Carreno-Busta had it in the US Open last year.

How does this work exactly? Is there automatically one wooden spoon in every tournaments. Can there be more than one?
AO 2016, Nadal won it.
2016 AO
1R Nadal < Verdasco
2R Verdasco < Sela
3R Sela < Kuznetsov
4R Kuznetsov < Monfils
QF Monfils < Raonic
SF Raonic < Murray
F Murray < Djokovic
