clamp 1 cross or 2 crosses when doing the crosses with flying clamps?

put a clamp on 1 cross or 2 crosses when doing the crosses with flying clamps?

Hey there everyone!

I have a gamma x-2, and a guy had told me that since the flying clamps are bulky, it would be easier to put the clamp on 1 cross after tensioning instead of attaching 1 clamp to 2 crosses after tensioning. I know your supposed too clamp 2 mains together when your doing the mains, but on the crosses can I just clamp 1 cross?

Sorry if this is confusing.

Thanx!! :)

How could the clamp hold tension if only clamped on one string? I suppose by being held in place by the mains. I think you must clamp two strings to get proper tension on your crosses. Good luck.

Clamp the 2 crosses. I had broke a main string doing this and I have the exact same stringer. Do not only clamp one cross!!!
