Just wanted to get an idea of how everyone at this forum is going right now as of the 5th May 2022. Are you optimistic and even enthusiastic about the near future or approaching things with caution, or are you concerned or maybe confused or even anxious? Are you quite calm and feel quite chilled right now? Do you think into the future and have a long term approach on things or do you just worry about what’s going on right now and not looking ahead at all right now?
My thoughts right now is that there is a lot of noise or information around on the internet and various news outlets that is very diverse if you are prepared to search for it, and you can definitely notice the difference when you visit other states and countries.
Anyway I thought I’d give this a go and see what people are thinking right now. I’ll just say that probably ones’s age group and stage in life will be a factor, so see how things go.
Cheers

I am very worried about what you say, and I’d rather don’t think about it.
If others want to do it, they should act under their own responsibility.

Thanks for the quick response. I’m not sure what this means by what you are saying. What part of what I have posted has you very worried? I’m just keen to have a good conversation, and generally positive thoughts and wisdom of how people are gauging things right now.

walked down the alley, as i sometimes do in spring. it's incredibly disgusting what people are doing to their frontyards. i already learned how modern garden gnoms are not for everyone, but what is going on in the frontyards right now is just antigreen anarchy.
i hope that some of all the ammo i stored in the attic hasn't got too wet and i swear i'll find that old shotgun, and then I Will Come Back!!

There is an old puzzle about someone stuck in a deep, slippery well. For
every three feet he climbs up he slides back two feet. Basically, that seems to
be the normal way of the world. Progress is slow and frustrating. We seem now
to be in an especially slippery section of that well, seemingly mined with traps of grease.
We now risk sliding back much further, falling back into the abyss.

Sorry for the late revert.
So you want to find good conversation, positive thoughts, and wisdom? Maybe you need to visit the Srsh thread.

Don’t know about that at present. I’m sure that thread has its place. I want to know more about the current sentiment people have about the situation they are in right now, and what ideas or plans they have moving forward. Many people I have spoken to lately seem quite cautious as to what they need to do next to better their future for their families. I do sense that 2022 and 2023 will be pivotal years for the world, particularly the western world.
Some people have sold their homes in the two most expensive cities here ( Australia: Sydney and Melbourne ) and relocated to more affordable cities and regional areas to either eliminate their mortgages or even resign from their jobs and start a more self sufficient existence in the country. Some have left to live in less urban areas to get away from problems that the big cities have had due to the sickness.
Moving away from a city to a more remote area has its challenges as well particularly if they are lifestyle locations that have natural disaster risks such as bush fires, flooding, water shortages or even drought or heat. There are also more changes needed in behaviour. If you live in a remote area there is maybe no more drive down to the shop in two minutes to pick up some milk, bread and rice. These places could be a half hour drive now. So there is a lot happening if people are aware and prepared to look.

Short term inflation, medium term recession, long term looks good. Ukraine, supply chain issues and pandemic are all within a year of ending.

My sentiments right now for many forum participants here is aim for the following:

1. look after your own health and avoid all the vices and lifestyle factors that can make you sick and dependent on the system.

2.Try to become financially self sufficient and manage your debts. If you can have no bad debts that would be a plus, no debt even better. Having diverse forms of passive income would be good.

3. Live in a friendly community where you can help each other. Right now smaller regional communities with good organic food supply and water security would be ideal. Be kind.

4. Don’t procrastinate. Being 2 years early is better than one day late.

5. Don’t buy into the crap that many politicians are trying to feed you. Most of them are not on your side.

Time to get with the program.

I think the problem with inflation this time is that interest rate rises won’t curb it when the problem is all about a lack of supply. If you want to fix the inflation problem, you have to increase production snd supply and the elites that have infiltrated governments all over the world don’t want this, because then the game of people control is over. Interesting case in point is why China is locking people up right now for the Omicron and confiscating pets. That’s something that the WEF would like.

Trying to stay away from the internet/news/social media sites as much as I can.

But things are depressing. Not rich by any means, so having to watch things at the store and pump, but I can't complain... people going through much worse all around the world.

I trust God provides for my needs (not wants) and am thankful for my family and roof over my head.

Things will be OK once all boomers are gone. But until then, they'll do everything to bring us to the grave with them.
