Demo racquet order - what's "Back Order" date mean

When I ordered a couple demos, one said 'wait' and the other said 'backorder'. However, there are Dates next to each Status field and in both cases, the dates had already passed.

I assume the Date field indicates when the product will be newly available for demo-ing.

So I'm confused. Can someone inform me how the system works? Which is more accurate, the Status field or the Date field?

If I go to my Order Status page right now, it shows 'Wait' with a date of '6/2/04' and another says 'BackOrder' with a date of '6/4/04'. What in the world does this mean?

I like to demo racquets here, not due to price, but because of reliability of service. Knowing exactly when the racquet will arrive, is important to me.

Thanks

edlosch,
The dates are when the demos are due back here at TW. In a perfect world, these dates would tell you exactly when we could ship your demo order. However, demo racquets are frequently returned late, which keeps us all waiting. As you didn't include which racquets you are waiting on, I can't investigate the date issue you mentioned.
Please give us a call at 1-800-883-6647 and one of our customer service representatives can help you with the status of your demo order.

Thanks Chris,

I didn't necessarily expect TW to be watching or listening, since this is a public board. Anyway, thanks for your reply. You answered my question - the date is 'date expected to be available again.' It might be a better label for that column, if it said 'Available' rather than 'Date'. Just a suggestion.

These were the racquets:
Wilson H4 Oversize Demo (3/8)
Hyper ProStaff Surge 5.1 100 Demo (3/8)

Something quite strange has happened now -- the date on the Wilson has gone backward from 6/2/04 to 5/26/04.

Anyway, thanks again for the reply....it makes sense. It didn't occur to me that people would return racquets late. I've never returned one late myself, plus I remember there's a charge if you do.
