Dialing in the tension

So...I tried Alu rough in my APD at 52/48. My initial racquettune reading was 40.8. I liked it a lot at first but even more as it lost tension. Now at 35 lbs on racquettune I am loving it. However I'm not see what tension that would really be straight off the stringer since the racquet tune is off. Would it probably be around 45 lbs?

Thanks!

I went and played again and noticed the strings were moving (not snapping back) after a while. So they are probably "dead". But I didn't really notice a difference in playability. I'll play again with them tomorrow.

Not going back into place does not mean it's dead. It only means there is enough tension, with the roughness of the strings, not to allow the strings to go back into original positions. If you want the most "back into place" in your stringbed, go looser and use a smooth, easy sliding string
As you know, I use 35 lbs tension on a APD clone racket (s). It's solid enough for the hardest balls dealt by a 5.0+ player, it counters as well as could be expected, it's soft, resilient, big sweetspot and easy power, and very easy on the body parts.
STBite 14 is very smooth, slides back into place, and at low tensions, very durable showing very little notching for waay too long a time. Never get's stuck out of position, and I have it in 5 different rackets.

If that's the case then why were they snapping back before when they were a lot tighter?
Tour bite doesn't come in 14 gauge...

Got my numbers mixed up, trying to use my right digit for numbers, instead of my normal looking at #'s using muscle memory.
Slight notching probably.
Higher tension causes strings to notch sooner, while low tensions allow string sliding if the strings are smooth.
