Different specifications about the Pro Kennex Black Ace

Dear TW collegue,

Regarding the specifications of the PK Black Ace 98 I don't understand the 4 pts headlight balance point and the swingweight of 331. At the Pro Kennex website they mention a balance point of 315 mm (9 pts headlight). Other tennis shops on the internet mention these specifications as well.

I measured the balance point of my own Black Ace 98 in that way as TW explained at the website. It seems to be 320 mm (7 pts headlight) strung so I guess the balance point mentioned at the PK website is correct.

Do you happen to sell an other version of the Black Ace?

Can you explain these differences in the specifications?

I just had one of our MRT's spec a black ace 98. The balance was 9 points headlight with a swingweight of 296.

Thanks for your reply. I still have a few questions. What means MRT? Is that something like a RDC machine? And what would be the swingweight strung?

A set of string typically adds about 29 points of swingweight to a standard length racquet. That would bring the swingweight to 325 strung. We do spec these racquets on a Babolat RDC machine. A "MRT" is a master racquet technician certified by the USRSA.

New 2009 versions of PK Black Ace on TW Europe

My goodness.... Look at TW Europe now. PK released two new 2009 versions of the Black Ace!

Nice to see they made a heavier (325 grams) version of PK Black Ace 98 325 a lighter one PK Black Ace 98 295 (295 grams) version.

The older PK Black Ace version is now for sale at only € 90,-.

It seems like PK read my posts about the different (and therefore confusing) Black Ace specifications.

BTW Why don't they sell the 93" version at TW Europe?
