djokovic personal issues

^ Exactly, players are supposed to entertain during the match, and express their personality; not rip their shirt like an ape after the match.

Then you need to get out more. French people love to use it.

We're not all French. Some of us do not use these terms about Spaniards. Incidentally Spaniards love to make monkey sounds and such to black football players. So not really better than the French or any other country.

By the way, haven't seen you for a while, been laying low til clay season huh?

I love Djokovic's eruptions of joy and relief after he wins a great match. He gives his all to win, he gave his life to the sport, and to win epic battles like he does after all the struggle and suffering he endured in the early years of his career, is awesome to see. Love Djokovic's celebrations, and hope he keeps em up. Love to see how much it means to him. He is the king of the sport of tennis, long live the King.

I love it when he Tebows and kisses his big wooden cross necklace.

If respecting somebody who just loss a family member playing "middle of the road" for you, then I guess I am. Pardon me from not following your kind of decency.

I think you misinterpreted my post. It was directed at ****wads like Bullsh!tza. I fully agree with you that in tragedies like these, people just need to put their stupidities aside and show some respect. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

My appologies for misunderstanding you as well.

I don't agree with including Veroniquem in that list, I think she was talking about something totally different.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to go on record again for Gorecki's sake:
I find any use of a player's family death or a player's reaction to it for bashing purposes immensely offensive. Talk about exploitative :-? How about unscrupulous? Mocking a death or someone's reaction to it whatever it may be: not cool and I don't condone it, much less wish to partake in it.

I'll second this.

I shouldn't have popped off before thinking about how my words might be misconstrued. I thought the original post was referring to the announcers droning on and on about grandpa in the middle of the second set. Perhaps unconsciously, I was also responding the post that referred to the video about his receiving the news. Whatever the case, I should have at least watched the video in question before I spoke, and then to have parsed my words more carefully.

Bullzilla's comments are laughable to the point that one knows that he or she doesn't even believe them; just trying to get a rise out of people that jump at the bait.

Djokovic, and I think I speak for all Nadal fans and fans of tennis, is a spectacular player and an excellent ambassador for the game. And for Djokovic fans to give Nadal a ribbing for demonstrative celebrations on the court is just silly. Nadal and Djokovic are cut from the same cloth in that regard. Both of their desires to show their emotions on court makes for entertaining and engaging tennis.

Djokovic showed a lot of grit and perseverance to pull that match out in three after looking a million miles from the proceedings in the first set.

Veroniquiem, you have to pardon Gorecki. She's just being stupid. I don't think she even read your post, and just made an outright accusation.

I follow American sports and interact with American fans daily, and never have I heard an American footballer referred to as a monkey. So again, you need to get out more. French simply have a real problem with Spanish people. So glad that Nadal's best slam results are at the French people's slam. Imagine the immense hurt Nadal is inflicting on them for the last 6 years. No wonder they are making horrible cartoons and some such, and booed Nadal off the court in 2009 after Soderling won.

Laying low? I retired from Talk Tennis, remember? I've been focusing on the NBA, but the NBA gets a bit boring when the Bulls are cruising to best record in the NBA.

Condolences to Novac and his family.

Offtopic: The behaviour of some of the people in this thread is despicable. Show some respect.

He reminds me of the T-1000 from Terminator 2. Every time you ban him, he keeps re-materializing.

Either he is one dedicated Nadal ****, or a very persistent troll.

I thought BULLZILLA was just a Nadal troll, but he turned out to be more than that. He is a vile, cretinous human being.

I read in a local (Serbian) newspaper that Nadal went to Novak's dressing room after Novak-Dolgopolov match and gave his condolences and a support hug.

Kudos Rafa, very nice gesture.

Awwww that's nice of Rafito. Though after relaying his condolences, the Nadal talked to Nole for 2 hours about how his left knee is bothering him.

That's lovely. Such a sad time for Novak but it's great to see people coming together like this.

We have such a unique relationship with out grandparents, when we're children they help to bring us up but when we're young adults we begin to look after them in return. Although we do somewhat expect them to leave us earlier, it doesn't make it any easier.

Later the CCTV showed that Rafa sprinkled a fistful of highly concentrated gluten powder into Nole's pockets, lunchbox, and couch during the prolonged hug.

Nadal FTW.
