Djokovic will not be able to keep pace with Nadal's relentlessly winning at least one Slam per year

I do not care if Djokovic has beaten Nadal this year at the French Open; the overwhelming trend is that Nadal wins the French Open every year. Guaranteed. Suggesting that he may not be able to do it in the next 15 or so years is just succumbing to recency bias.

Since Nadal is guaranteed one Slam per year for let's say the next 15 years, Djokovic will have to win 15 more Slams just to keep pace. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a 'pet Slam' like Nadal has in the French Open. Additionally, the French Open is Nadal's guaranteed Slam, but that doesn't mean he can't also win other Slams on top of it.

So overall, it will be very difficult for Djokovic to match this relentless pace and ultimately win the Slam race.

You’re trolling but I still think a 2021 ish Rafa even declined by 10-20% would destroy anyone else on clay until 2025. We shall see how Tsitsipas develops but Rafa is NOT done competing for Roland Garros.

So what, Djokovic may win 3 Slams this year - who knows, maybe even 4. But he will burn out. Nadal will patiently win at least one Slam per year (French Open, obviously) for the next decade and a half. And he may win more on top of that. So Djokovic has to at least win 15 more to keep pace.

Nadal is finally declining for good.

He won't win the most exigeant GS at 36.

This FO was his ultimate chance to have the elusive 21.

I do not know if you are deluded or just trolling. :) This is just a surreal thread, and if you believe it, I am quite kicked to wonder what other theories you would be lending credence to. And mind you, Rafa is my 2nd favourite player.

Wait, I’m rereading this thread. Did you mean to write Nadal’s winning or Nadal‘s fans’ whining?

2/10 Troll attempt, but we applaud your efforts with one hand tied behind our back. Djoker can barely win 3 slams in a row just to match Rafa's pace of losing them faster.

That's always been him lol. He only crawls out from his hole when things are like they are now :-D

Ignoring obvious trolling - I still believe Nadal can win 2-3 more FOs. It took special performance from Djokovic to put him away this year. Djoko can't stop him every year. So Nadal will bounce back eventually and end up with 22-23 Slams.

I agree with you here for the most part, except that I think it's going to be 1 or max 2 more RGs. 3 more RGs for Rafa is going to be very tough, given that he has to contend not just with Novak but also a steadily improving Tsits. And who knows, others like Berr, Shapo etc might step up too. I also don't see Rafa winning slams outside RG now, but let's see how he does in the HC swing once he returns.

Novak is much better placed to overtake that number, even if Rafa gets to 21/22. And Novak also has a better diversity/spread in his slams even now.

Well Nadal always has got his own plans. When he sits out for some time - be sure he is taking some miraculous treatments (TUE route) and training hard. His problem is Djokovic - i don't think he can beat him anywhere now. But once Djokovic suffers a bit of slump after winning a lot - Nadal will vulture 2-3 Slams. Djokovic needs 24 + Slams to have slam record IMO. Federer is done but Nadal still has very strong game.
