Do Fans Of Other Sports Act Like This?

Just wondering. I don't even think I have to explain what I mean by "this", do I? I rarely come on here, but every time I do, I'm disappointed in myself for doing so.

Yes. This place could do a lot better without this extreme hate. And let's face it, it's only Nadal who gets all these fanboys all riled up.

Whenever Nadal wins a big match or loses one, regardless of the result, the forum erupts with blind hate towards him! It's insane!

Yeah some of the stuff you read here...

I understand where you're coming from.

People can act like this, yes. They don't have to be a certain sports fan, or belong to a certain fanbase.

Also, this is the internet. Everyone is here. Look hard enough and you would find people who believe the Tsunami in Japan a few years back was karmic payback for Pearl Harbor.

The pot calling the kettle black. Nadal fans do the same thing with Fed (or other players).

Nadal has built up a lot of haters as well as fans over the years. He dared to challenge and beat Federer. He dared to fight to win matches against the odds. He dared to recover from 7 losses in a row to Djokovic and find a solution.

OP must be a Nadal fans. So easy to spot them nowadays.

Not quite. I used to love Marcelo Rios back in the day. Nowadays, I just like to watch really good tennis. Rafael is great though. So is Federer. So are the rest of the professional tennis players. I wish them all well as they live their tennis dreams.

A lot of Nadal fans used to call Djokovic their second favourite player. Then as soon as Djoker started thrashing Nadal he was the most hated guy on the forum. He dared to challenge and beat Nadal. He dared to fight to win matches against the odds.

real Djokovic haters exist of course, but from my little experience here not many hate Djokovic, most of the trolling was a reply to Chico's trolling, ask FreeBird he knows what i mean  Chico was so good that he would almost make you hate a player that u had no reason to hate in the first place

Don't quit, just ignore it. Every forum you get rude, ignorant people. The reason is that they hide behind their computers, if they met you face to face they wouldn't act like that. It's like the guy in the car flipping you off, they don't do that face to face.

Thing I don't like about this forum is a guy can put up a thread or post "I don't like the way Nadal plays" for example, and people will say "You are a Fed **** moron" whatever, it just shows meanness and ignorance of social skills.

I like a good debate, value others opinions even if I disagree 100%, when someone resorts to the name calling and stuff it just shows they have no class.

It's funny Nadturds can dish it out but can't take it. Bit like their idol.

How do you know that? Djokovic started "thrashing" Nadal way back in 2011, and you joined when--- June '13. Surely you couldn't have been just reading this forum for over 3 years(to know the Nadal fans apparent change of attitude towards Novak pre & post 2011), and joined so late to spread the "Rafa-hate" no?

Yeah, I thought it was kinda funny how KillerServe pinned me as a Nadal fan in a thread that doesn't even mention any players. I also felt like he thought less of me for being a presumed Nadal fan. Guilty until proven innocent. I want my day in court. These people are intense.

This has to be a troll question, right? C'mon people, this is the internet. Also, there are people who act like this in real life as well. I suspect that the OP does not go out much..

Good question. I think if there are other individual sports that have built up intense rivalries over the years (Fed-Nadal, Djoko-Nadal, Djoko-Fed) you'll probably see similar endless bickering going back and forth between followers of whoever the player is. But I think tennis is very unique in this respect. I guess you can call it 'idol worship'. Definitely different than a football team in which the teams all have their own forums. In here it's total mayhem, just a free-for-all...

I respect that you suspect instead of actually claiming to know anything about my life. I just don't frequent these parts of the internet often. This is fun though.

A long time ago-late 1980's or early 1990's, don't remember when exactly-I was watching an American Football game on TV. Team #1's quarterback was playing against the team that had traded him. At one point in the game the QB was hit hard and injured, and the crowd actually started CHEERING! I couldn't believe it. :(

I was about to edit my post: when I re-read that you aren't on here often. However, you should know that this is the internet; and you shouldn't take things seriously here. People forget that a lot..

So I take it you no longer post pics of Serena.

My avatar is a memory of Nadal winning AO. Nothing wrong with it.
My signature was written after reading all the hate from Fedfans towards Nadal today.

Anty-Vic is one of the rare good Nadal fans. He kept on his word and even told off his fellow Nadal drones that they shouldn't be celebrating a 14th title just because Wawrinka is in the final, and he was right.

Either way. You should start with the hatred from your own fanbase before you sort out other fanbases.

I see. And I don't this stuff seriously. Just thought I'd offer up a tiny bit of provocation to the forum. By the way, can you help me out? Do you know what a Nadturd is? MonFed's words, not mine.

After their antics today, there are about 10-15 people who dearly deserve to be banned on this forum. Let's hope we wake up tomorrow and see them gone.
