both players lost in the SF at adelaide but JJ lost a RR match while JMDP won his 2 RR matches.
he consequently has a greater prize money (logical)... but both earned the same number of ATP points !
i know it concerns a small amount of points... but i don't find this logical.
i found that :
from : http://www.atptennis.com/en/players/ATP_Rulebook2007.pdf
but that's not very clear :
ummm... your opinion, you tennis fans ?
- in this table, it doesn't appear that you win more points if you win the tournament being undefeated (it would be logical, like at the masters)
or maybe you add the points earned in the RR stage to your 35 points for the final win ?... but i don't think it works like this, that wouldn't be coherent with the points earned in 2006.
the RR column probably gives the points you get if you win only one RR match, i think. but the least we can say is that they could have been more explicit !- they could have added a line for the 24 draw case !
