Do you think Novak can still win particular grand slam at least 4 times in a row from now on?

Granted it would take mammoth effort, but lets say there's still one grand slam, where he can pull it off, which one is the most likely? The reason i bring this up is that, when you look at what Borg, Sampras, Federer and Nadal achieved (aka the only OTHER champions with double digit slam counts in OE!) all four of them had at some point 4 times GS tournament winning streak at their pet slam! Sampras did it 4 in a row at the Wimbledon, Borg won RG 4 times in a row and WC 5 times consecutively, Nadal had two streaks of 4 in a row at RG, one of which extended to 5th consecutive title and Federer won both WC and USO 5 consecutive times! This makes Djoker's 3 consecutive AO titles kinda look shallow and underachieving! It doesn't make a lot of sense and doesn't look right for a player, who had won 15 grand slams! (Partially i blame Wawrinka for that! That damned swiss LOL) So my question is - Do you think that ND still have just about enough time to manage to win one particular grand slam tournament 4 years in a row or that ship has sailed for good? I think objectively speaking for AO and RG (especially RG!) its probably too late at this point, but for WC and especially USO i think it isn't too late, but Novak would have to win either of them this year in my opinion to have realistic chances at extending that streak into third title next year, finishing with 4th in 2021!...What do you think?

No he can't and he won 5 out of 6 at the AO which no one has ever done and he has the record. What difference does 4 in a row make at the end of the day? He and Sampras ended up at the same place. He just will have to take solace in being the only man to win the WTF 4 times a row and be happy with that.

His favourite surface, hardcourt, is harder to dominate.

Only one streak at AO/UO went past 3 titles.

In my opinion it's too late, the ship has sailed. But having the four different slams in a row, beats having the same slam four times in a row.

Djokovic fans are definitely the greediest of all fans on these forums

Are you sure you aren't talking about Federer fans though? Because last time i checked they want their idol to play like forever (Despite the fact, that he is 37!) and keep winning slams, like 10 more of them or something! LOL

No. He's 31 for god's sake. He isn't going to dominate a slam for 4 more years. That's impractical and severely unlikely if the best he ever did was 3 in a row at the AO, his favorite slam. And 4 in a row is incredibly difficult to pull off even in the best shape of an ATG's life - and Novak is past that.

With that supposition, we have to consider that maybe he'll extend the streaks at Wimbledon or the US Open.

No. He won't. Even when it's 'only' 3 in a row, you have to remember the OE record at the US Open is 5. It's such a volatile slam that people have achieved a maximum of 5 slams there. There is no way he's going to win 3 more US Opens in the next 3 years. That's as many as he got in 13 years.

And Wimbledon? Sure, he's got 4 slams there, but with how close he came to losing to Nadal last year and with his questionable form from year to year, who can honestly say they see Djokovic defending his title there 3 times?

So no. The very question is ridiculous.

Shallow and underachieving? Please, he's playing in a time when Nadal & Federer are winning grand slam titles. Winning any GS is an achievement. Not everyone is Fed. Not everyone is Nadal. Djokovic will stand on his own when it's all said and done.

Post a link to one post here made in the past 2 years where one Fed fan says they "like want him to play forever," unless it's clearly a post made in fantasy mode. Post a link to one post here where one single Fed fan mentions the possibility of him winning "like 10 more slams or something." Since you apparently apparently "check" this out, finding these endless (or even ONE) post like this, should be child's play. In fact, almost every single Fed fan here has posted they believe he will retire at the end of 2020 in Basel. There's a few who believe he'll hang it up this year.

I never meant as a whole, but only in this particular area! I never said literally, that Novak is shallow and underachieving, only that he was never able to win one grand slam more than 3 times in a row, which i said looks SHALLOW and UNDERACHIEVING, when compared with Sampras, Borg, Federer and Nadal...

None are likely, but the MOST likely would be Wimbledon. Novak continues to improve as a server (and right now he has the best serve he's ever had in his career), it should allow him to stay highly competitive on grass even if he begins to lose a step in regards to his speed/ground game. Fed reached the finals at Wimb in 2014/2015 playing extremely high level tennis and only didn't win those events because he ran into Novak. The corresponding years for Novak's career would be 2020-2021 and there presumably won't be a younger GOAT contender level player to stop him at that point like there was for Fed. Given Novak at 31 is playing at a higher level than Fed was at 31, its possible he will be able to play at the same level as Fed at age 33-34 and win 4 straight Wimb from 18-21. However, given how slim the margins are on grass, I would say its a very slim chance to win 4 in a row.

The reason i bring this up is that, when you look at what Borg, Sampras, Federer and Nadal achieved (aka the only OTHER champions with double digit slam counts in OE!) all four of them had at some point 4 times GS tournament winning streak at their pet slam!

Its conspicuous that Nole does not have single slam consecutive dominance like the other tier 1 OE players do, but he has versatility consecutive dominance over all four of them given he is the only one to win 3 slams in a row, 3 different times (and has a chance to possible win 4 slams in a row twice).
