Do you wear shirt/short/shoes from the same brand?

I actually think about this. Good topic. I try to keep it consistent for the big brands. For example, I don’t like to wear Nike and Adidas at the same time. That said, if there are more boutique brands, I will sometimes mix-and-match. For example, I will wear an Ellesse shirt with Uniqlo or Lotto or Yonex shorts if they otherwise go together.

Usually I wear adidas shoes and shorts. During practices I can mix in a shirt from a different brand. During tournament matches I like to have "complete" outfit.

Only brand I am a little OCD with is Nike. Nike shoes with shoes and shorts. Everything else a hodgepodge.

Usually I mix it up, however if I wear Yonex, it's all head to toe (Yonex socks are pretty good); also with Uniqlo - shirt, shorts, socks and I like to pair it up with adidas shoes, sometimes Nike depending on the colors.

Only on matches I match clothing.

I wear the same brand. Used to work for a Nike Store so cant help it. Except for compression shorts. I prefer Under Armour for some reason.

Same here. And since tennis is the only sport I play at this point (other than hitting the weights at the gym), I can go all out on the tennis apparel.

It's not so much fanboyism for Nike for me (although I like their stuff a lot more than I like Adis), it's just that it bothers me when I wear sports apparel that do not match in brand or colour. I would be happy wearing one brand for shirts and shorts, no brand for socks and a different brand for shoes, but Adi shoes don't fit me well, and Asics are actually more expensive (not to mention I don't like the look of them much).

I don't tend to wear or use entire kits though (eg Fed's AO 2017 outfit from headband to socks to shoes, RF 12-racquet bag, RF97A with Champion's Choice, like that one 5'5" Chinese guy I saw once at the park), because (a) there's that blurry line that distinguishes you as all-gear-no-idea guy--and you don't know it until you've passed it; and (b) I generally don't like at least one part of a kit anyway.

For me, I usually go with this:
  • Shirt: Usually Nike, can be Nike tennis or Nike Pro Combat, or can be some old t shirt I had lying around
  • Shorts: Nike
  • Socks: Unbranded or Nike
  • Shoes: Nike
  • Wristband: Nike
  • Wrist brace: anything
  • Headband: none
Racquet: Babolat / Wilson
Strings: Luxilon, Solinco
Grip: Wilson (I'd use Babolat if it didn't cost an arm and a leg)
Bag: Wilson

I like Nike shirts and shorts. Just prefer them to any other brands I’ve tried. Socks I don’t really care about, but when I wear a pair of Nike shoes I fold down the Nike brand on the socks, because that’s just too much.

Nobody is paying attention but me, but it kind of bugs me to have four or five different brands displayed.

Pretty sure I saw you at the Comic Con in San Diego

No.

Lacoste doesn't make proper tennis shoes now, so that is one reason (although I have thought about buying Babolats just to make the french connection and because Michelin makes some serious rubber).

Other than that I mostly do.

The only exception to the outfits are my socks, which are almost always not the regular tennis brands.

Right now, I am loaded with Uniqlo and ST shirts. My shorts are mostly adidas with an ST exception. And for shoes I have new balance, nike and adidas. So, I guess I have to mix it up :)

I think I have preference for shoes.
But look for whatever is on sale and feels comfy.
I wear shirt from Mountain Gear (I think that's a Columbia brand)
Shorts from Adidas and Lululemon (hey, don't knock it until you've tried it)...<can't wear their shirts since they are too form fitting and you need a body like @letstakeourshirtsoff to sport them>
Socks from UA

I'll mix and match, although I'll always make sure the colours aren't clashing.

At the moment I wear matching Ellesse shorts and top, but that's because they were half price. I wear Adidas Barricades and unbranded socks.

Nice. Won't find Ellesse at half price in the US though :(

Bad times! I got them from TK Maxx, which I believe is called TJ Maxx in America? This seasons shorts for £15 and 3 tops (this season) for £12-15 each. That's my tennis gear sorted for another year :D

Yup, TJ Maxx here, and you can get some deals occasionally, but not on Ellesse, which is very hard to find here. You got a killer deal -- nice job.

Usually go with the following:

Shirt - Usually a team shirt from my school that I coach at, TW, or some sort of polyester blend (dri-fit) that matches my bottoms or socks/shoes in some way.
Shorts - Yonex, Nike, Adidas or Lululemon. I know, I know... My GF loves their stuff and I recently got a pair. Love the feel.
Socks - Nike
Shoes - NB 996 v3 in maroon and also a pair of light grey/white.

My racquets, grips, string, and bag are Yonex.

Shirt - Whatever I pull out - cheap Fila, free Adidas, an RF that was a gift, a UA shirt from my school, a Nike shirt from my school
Shorts - Whatever I pull out - cheap Fila, cheap Wilson, cheap Champion (notice a trend here?)
Socks - either white Pumas or black Champions which I need to replace with something better
Shoes - usually Asics GRs, but currently wearing Fila Cage Deliriums since they were on sale for ~$50 and aren't half bad
Pacific bag
Prince racquets

I cannot ever recall even thinking about this. My shoes and clothing is a complete mishmash of various stuff accumulated over the years. Happy to wear anything as long as it performs the function. If my socks match each other, I'm good.

I've been wearing all Slazenger for almost four years (a bit boring, but cheap and reliable). He11, I even use a Slazenger racquet. But I'm seriously considering defecting to Fred Perry even though it's considerably more expensive.

The only folks making decent tennis clothes these days (aside from Fred Perry) - just my opinion, of course - are Ellesse and Le Coq Sportif. Nike is the worst (^sorry Quentin). That Pharrell Williams 70s-inspired line from Adidas wasn't too bad. Fila has kind of recycled some of their 70s stylings which aren't too bad. But mostly it's just cr@p - either terminally boring or unconscionably ugly.

I've got Nike and Babolat shoes. I have a variety of clothes - mostly Nike, Adidas, and generic.
On occasion, I will have all Nike on.

Total hodgepodge of various brands of shorts, shirts, wristbands, and headbands when taking a lesson or playing for fun. When its a serious match, I do have an all Nike game day outfit. It's the most comfortable thing I own and somehow walking out on to court in a coordinated outfit (as opposed to looking like my normal slovenly self) makes me feel well-organized and gives me a boost of confidence.

Always Asics shoes.

Always same brand shirt and shorts - currently Lacoste.

Both brands are consistently quality products.

Wonder why Lacoste doesn’t make serious, legit tennis shoes. At a minimum, I can imagine a ton of club players would dig them.

asics shoes, that equip. not style.
nike socks, I get 6 pairs matching white crew length every year at the outlet while on vacation.
jockey briefs, good support, grey, cheap, do the job, dont show thru white shorts
whatever brand I can find on sale shorts, occ. running shorts, but rare. def. poly.
t shirt - def. poly anymore. whatever, do have a lot of nike and adidas,
rolled up bandana a la old school MacEnroe. cotton and it does the job, or poly hat (cotton if need be)
1 cotton double size wristband on racket hand, white, but logos permitted (must be cotton!)

Well anyone who is crispy color, brand coordinated from head to toe had better have some some game. Nothing worse than looking like a pro and playing like a scrub.

i own a ton of nike gear and shoes from claiming vouchers on the durability for years.. and more so, with the $10 survey scam nike was running the last year or so.. i must have filled out 200 of those in that time.. maybe more, i should have kept track. nike finally got wise and changed the survey policy significantly...I wear everything nike head to toe and it looks like a nike commercial.. but it is because i am freakishly cheap with stuff i buy to sweat in. Nothing beats Filas shorts though.. crazy comfortable and can hold three balls per pocket and you can run and swing and it is like they are not there. best!

Really nice to see that I’m not the only one. :)

For a few years now I’ve come to only wear Adidas from head to toe. Mostly because I like their designs (not all of them). I think it all started in 2012 when my wife bought me a matching Adidas Roland garros outfit for my birthday. I don’t buy a lot of tennis outfits but whenever there’s a sale online with huge discounts I’ll have a look and maybe pick up a new t-shirt or something. I play three times a week and don’t do laundry every day, so I need more than one or two setups. At least that’s one of my excuses for this behaviour. :)
