Does Roddick use the Pure Drive Roddick?

I ask because I think Roddick previously said he used a stock Pure Drive Plus that was then heavily customised to his preferred specs. Having got the set-up he wanted it seems unlikely he'd then change frame. Is the Pure Drive Roddick (Plus) just supposed to be resemble how the Pure Drive Plus feels after Roddick has had it customised?

If so, are Babolat being dishonest (because Roddick is actually using a customised Pure Drive Plus) or are they doing Roddick fans a favour by selling them something a bit closer to what Roddick is going out on court with? Is it actually anything like Roddick's customised Pure Drive Plus?

I wonder if Babolat are tempted to produce an Aeropro Drive Nadal with lots of extra weight around the top of the head. We could see hundreds of 10 year olds with bandanas and shoulder problems.

well tw stated that the pdr's are designed around the actual weight of roddick, not the real weight of his.

The whole thing with the PDR is to sell a racquet closer to the PD Roddick really uses. Hence the weight and stiffness difference. Is it the exact same?? Hard to say unless you take one of his racquets and put it through the tests.

I remember reading in a SMASH magazine that Roddick uses a PDR+ that's between 12 and 13 oz, and a little head heavy. I dont' remember the exact specs, but these are close.

His frames do not have the Cortex system, thus are not the PDR

spoke to babolat rep, roddick was going to leave babolat unless he got more money. a signiture racket means he gets a cut from every 1 sold. also with his shoes, thats why when he first used the shoes, he used the standard black/red/white colour way, then they released the grey ones with the signiture, now the pro pulses. sorry if this has all ready been said!

I'm not sure what you're thinking there, but his racket specs are different than the retail version. And if you do a search, he's been quoted to say that he hasn't changed rackets since 8 years ago.
