Dunlop 200 4D 16x19 comments please

I'm looking for some feedback, comments on the new Dunlop 200 4D 16x19. Anyone out there in Europe playing with these yet???

Right now I just started to use the 200 M-Fil version (2006) in 16x19 from TW. I have added leather grip, overgrip, about 6 grams at 3&9 and about 4 grams above the grip. Final spec is 345grams, 32cm balance. My goal was a lighter "k90" set up (356gr and 32cm). So far, so good but the idea of a 95 in head on the 4D appeals to me.

Do you have specs on 4D 200.
Using my Mfil 95 18x20 with 15 gauge cheapo strings at 62 for 4 months now.
I try all the Babs, Heads, TourWilsons all the time.. for hitting anyways. All very different, but a basic 12.5 oz head light soft frame and medium head is pretty tough to beat.
For my declining skills, eyes, footspeed, and aging, maybe a bigger bertha is the call, but they don't seem better in match play.

My main impression on the AG4D 16x19 is the maneuverability. The swingweight felt very low. Volleys are fun.

Groundstrokes are powerful with this stick.

Great serving stick, although I tend to serve better with the K90. Some leads may help.

The weight is about 335 g (11.6 to 11.7 oz) with Yonex supergrap overgrip on.

The racket feels flexible and relatively less stiff than say, the K95's. It is very easy on the arm. The circa 11.6 oz static weight provides ample opportunity for customisation.

I am a big fan of AG200 (18x20) and have a plan to buy AG200 4D (18x20) very soon. Today I just tried AG200 4D (16x19) and have a totally different feedback from my original expectation. The racquet is very light and a bit unstable. I also feel like there is no power behind my shots from both wings. Even though the static strung weight sound very good, it's pretty hollow. Serious customization is really required for this stick. Compared to my Wilson KTour, KTour outperforms in every aspect at lighter weight.

Any other comments? How about bit eon ball from string pattern, flex feel, etc.?

I didn't realize 10g would make much difference . In terms of feel, AG2004D (16x19) generates crip response if hitting the sweetspot. It's pretty much the same crisp feel as I found on Yonex RQiS, but with relatively smaller sweetspot. For flex, I think the frame is too stiff to my taste. In addition, it was strung with a poly hybrid so it makes a whole frame even harsher and stiffer. I prefer a soft and flexy frame. One of my favorite combination is AG200 (18x20) with Babolat XCel Premium at 55lbs. Now I am looking forward to demo a AG200 4D (18x20).

Unlike me, my friend who is a teaching pro loves that AG2004D 16x19 frame a lot. He said it plays a bit softer than his old AG300. He played orginal AG200 before and he hated it (too heavy). So I think it's really up to personal preference He normally play double and not very much from the baseline. Also he has compact and wristy strokes, and hit mostly flat shots. May be AG2004D (16x19) is good in this category.

radionise and suppawat thanks for the comments. I just placed an order with UK site for this frame. One thing that convinced me to try it was that I took the 300 4D Tour for a test hit. I was impressed how solid and not overly flexible it felt despite its 63RA rating. I'm making this comparison to my M-Fil 200 16x19 which is the identical mold to the 300 4D Tour and which has 67RA. I think there is something to that 4D stuff. I'll check it out and report back in couple of weeks. In the mean time, anyone else...?

The 67 listed on the frame is for an unstrung racquet. Stringing will lower the stiffness rating by 2-3 points. That's why TW shows the flex as 64. Even with a flex of 64, the mfi 200 16x19 doesn't feel boardy like some frames that have a similar flex measurement

Update. I ordered the frame from UK and it arrived two weeks later. It looks gorgeous. The frame came strung. Initial measurements are 325g and 32.3cm with factory strings only. I took it out for a 7 min hit.

Yes compared to my M-Fil 200 plus the 4D does feel more solid. It simply does not feel like a 62-63RA. That's what I could determine in the very short hit.

The swing weight with 4D is not an issue, actually an advantage as I can tune to the way I like it. My M-fils are 345g and 32cm with leather+OG and lead in hoop and throat.

New strings (gut/poly) are next with the rest of the handle/weight upgrades. I'll report back.
