Everybody should take kickserve lessons from Stosur

Watching her in the final right now, not going to spoil the outcome, but her serving is incredible. I'm pretty sure she's the best server in the WTA. Her 2nd serve has the most awesome kick I've seen in my life, for a woman that is.

Even some guys in the ATP should watch her and learn a few things. Her serving is simply amazing.

Nice video with 1st serves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8xQ9LbsT00

Couldn't find any special video with 2nd serves though. I will be looking forward to the highlights against Zvonareva, she had some monster 2nd serves that kicked up about a meter above her opponent.

especially impressive considering virtually all women have no idea how to hit a kick second serve. they try to hit it flat or with slice and that's why they double fault so much.

Her 2nd serve was almost as effective as her 1st, she just kicked it up above Zvonarevas head and to her backhand and got the easy forehand putaway after that.

rod99, exactly, women almost can't hit 2nd serves, let alone good ones, and out comes this lady and just rocks my world. With some consistency and the ability to string some matches together, this girl is going to do some real damage.

No wonder this woman reached the French Open semis...she should have beat Kuzzy and then Dinara would have choked the match away anyways...there you go Stosur is FO champion but nope. She did push kuzzy to 3 and made a strong statement there.

Hopefully the way things are going my top three choices for the women FO champ is : Henin, Stosur, Safina(This is just hoping, that she finally pulls thorugh >_+)

Not only can't they hit a kick serve, they don't know how to return it. In the ad court Zvonereva stood way behind the baseline and let the kick serve eat her up instead of moving up and taking the ball on the rise.

Her kick serve is indeed great... the only bad technical aspect of it is that she doesn't follow through to the very end, she kind of stops the serve swing at her right knee.

Great find, mortifier. She's about my height and build - (but I'm a man, baby!)! Time to work on the technique! Good inspiration!

So how does one hit a kick serve? Yep, just told my son, who's playing a lefty with a kick, to return it on the rise; don't wait.

great video..
Must be something in the Aussie coaching system. Alicia Molik has the best topspin serve, and Stosur has the best twist serve. Sareena is more clutch though.
