Extended length mids ?

Has anything of this sort ever been manufactured and sold retail?

I haven't seen any mid sized racquets that are produced 27.5" or 28", but I think they would play great!

I thought they only made a midplus in that!

Any others? If I thought I could ever find the i.prestige mid xl, I would definitely give it a go...

I have a couple of extended length 95" and 98" Fischers. Not my favorites among mid and mid-plus racquets from this brand.

A true mid should not be more than 93".

Raquet finder was my first attempt... it drew up nothing.

...So far it looks like pro stocks and the rare i.prestige mid xl.

And I think you can extend many[?] Head racquets because they use removable pallets and you can just slide them down the hairpin. One of my Prestiges is 27.2" but I don't think you could go past 27.5" or the pallet may crumble.

I have extended a Wilson Graphite Matrix (85sqin) and a Rok (93) to 28". It didn't work all too well, because you get a small hitting area a bit too far away from your hand. It gets a bit tricky to really aim for the sweetspot. The huge SW didn't help much, either.

Wow that's a long racket! LOL, just kidding. Yes you are right but I figure mid plus would fit in the Midsize frames too. I first tried 93 si max and 27.5" min but got nada new or old so I bumped up the head size to mid +.

Yes, you can extend any head racquet pretty easily. Just replace the pallet 1" below and fill the gap with something solid.

And there's another one of those in Rome...

I didn't see that one. Those sound pretty nice but I've moved over to Head now. I think that all of the manufacturers should open up the Pro Stock models a little more. It might make their retail frames more popular too if you know that you can get Pro Stocks. 28 inches is generally pretty hard to come by.

More important than compromising the integrity of the racquet long-term, I can rarely get the right feel when I extend the racquet myself; It almost always just feels off, even if the weight/balance are exactly right.

Unless someone knows about a stash of Prestige mid xls, it looks like I will have to use a 95.
