Faulty racket or bad luck?

I had a Prince Warrior 107 textreme crack severely just above the handle on a medium-paced overhead. I had this happen once to a dunlop 200g in the late 80s only it snapped completely in two. There's a video on youtube where this happended to McEnroe with the same stick! Anyway, Dunlop replaced it no questions asked. Would it be worth returning the racket to Prince to see if they'd replace it? The racket was otherwise in good condition with normal nicks and scrapes after being in play for a year. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

I've broken one or two of these frames (100) returning serves. My stringer used to use it and said the same thing happened to him.

Do you throw your racquet or hit it on the ground/fence or do other kind of racquet abuse when you get angry? Or do unusual stringing at very high tensions or with a huge difference in tension between mains/crosses? If so, you might have weakened the racquet.

If you take care of your racquet, try returning it.
