It’s great, if it had a Nike tick people would say the same. Best polo I’ve seen on him since 2011-12, or maybe AO14I really like his new outfit, it looks nice.
*funny, spot-on '15 yr. ave. age' observation aside* ...Incorrect Dedanso
I actually lived back then and don't remember "Borgmania". In fact the only place I hear about it is on this board, where the average age is 15.
I guess I'm the only one that doesn't believe Roger's "injury" was real. I thought then and still do that he and his team felt 2 matches in one day and then another match the next morning was just pressing their luck and just begging for him to actually get hurt. Roger got what he needed out of the tournament.
I always liked RyuFederer with a Street Fighter shirt ? Weird.
I always liked Ryu
Welp. Time to go out on a high note and retire.Federer has easily won a set of practice against Schwartzman 6-3.
I'm sure he'll be granted a nice draw. I'm not worried.Welp. Time to go out on a high note and retire.
It's totally dependent on what form Fed is on any given day. He is still capable of playing 2012/2017 level a few times a year. He still can play at that level for a few games (or even an entire set), and then revert to 2013 form with no warning (think Goffin match at the 2017 YEC). He will need a high, sustained level to defeat Tsistipas or Thiem in a BO5 format, but he can do it. But he would need a 2006 clay level to come close to either Nadal or Djokovic. I don't expect he'll go far enough in the draw to meet either. A QF result would be gold at his age. Here's the list of seeds that I think are capable of defeating Roger at RG:
1. Novak Djokovic
2. Rafael Nadal
4. Dominic Thiem
6. Stefanos Tsitsipas
8. Juan Martin Del Potro
13. Borna Coric
14. Gael Monfils
I don't think Roger will lose to any others unless he's seriously out of form during the match (e.g. playing even worse than that first set against Coric over a large stretch of the match).
Depending on the draw I think Roger can end up as going out as low as R4 and as high as SF.
There is a 25% chance that he avoids everyone in that list until the SF. A dream draw for seeds would be the likes of Edmund - Basilashvili - Zverev in R3 - QF.
Do you guys agree or do you think I have missed out someone?
Oh that was cool.
That high sustained level will work against those young stalwarts only if they play slightly below par. Federer doesn’t have the stamina to play 4+ hours, that too on the dirt. He would have to get it done in 4, otherwise even winning the match would provide him with no sort of advantage for the next round. It's totally dependent on what form Fed is on any given day. The good news is that win or lose, he doesn't allow matches to go that long anymore.Federer doesn’t have the stamina to play 4+ hours, that too on the dirt.
I like it, too! I've definitely not been a fan of any of the pastel-y colors. (I do like Rederer, though.)He looks great. It's a good color for him and a vast improvement over pastel pink shorts.
This year against Tsitsi? The good news is that win or lose, he doesn't allow matches to go that long anymore.
The last time he played a 4 hour match was probably Anderson at Wimbledon. And that's not a circumstance that's likely to repeat on clay.

He wont be facing thiem unless they both make it to a final, atleast idont think so. Pretty sure no.3 and no.4 get placed in opposite halvesI completely agree with you, but knowing Roger’s luck, I’m pretty sure he’s gonna draw Coric in R4 and Tsitsi/Thiem in QF. The dream draw is reserved for Nadal.
any unseeded players he might have to watch out for?

Ohh I def can see thatSorry my bad, for some reason I was thinking Thiem is seeded 5-8. He’ll probably draw Tsitsi/Delpo then

I can’t think of any dangerous floaters this time round (Nick doesn’t count, and Fed had got him figured out anyway).
I'm trying to remember who beat him the last few years he was playing the french open and I think they were tsonga, gulbis, and stan but idk how they are doing at the moment. i know stan has been struggling but I'm always cautious of him. idk if the other two

I want a Djokovic USO 2016 draw for Federer.
Joke apart, a walkover (or 2) might help Old Man go deeper than expected.
Either way, this is the 1st slam since AO 17 where I have genuinely zero expectations from The Fedr. Simply gonna enjoy seeing the great man having fun.

Federer is the dangerous floater/dark horse.
I wouldn't say I have "zero" expectations, because if he lost in the first or second round, it would be disappointing. I think he'll do better than that and depending on the draw, a QF result would be fabulous. My goal for clay season for Roger was netting 400 total points. So far, he's at 360 points, so clay has been a win, as long as he doesn't get injured in the next 2 weeks, God forbid.Either way, this is the 1st slam since AO 17 where I have genuinely zero expectations from The Fedr. "Federer who was fresh out of a training session for the next French Open, which runs in Paris until June 9. “I’m fully recovered,” said the tennis star and Moët & Chandon ambassador, alluding to the leg injury he sustained while playing the Masters 1000 in Rome last week.
“I’m incredibly happy to be returning to Roland-Garros; I haven’t played the French Open in three years,” he continued. “The audience’s expectations are high, but I’m trying to calm things down because I feel it’s going to be hard. But things went well for me in Rome and Madrid so I am really very satisfied.”
Arnault didn’t get the memo about keeping expectations low. “Tonight is the alliance of the king of wines and the king of the courts,” he said during a speech at the dinner, held in a marquis overlooking the vineyards.
“We will be watching you play the French Open, and we don’t want to always see the same guy win, otherwise it would be boring,” laughed Arnault, in reference to Rafael Nadal’s two victories in 2017 and 2018. “So I hope you will put a stop to that, and I’m convinced this year will be your 21st Grand Slam.”

France's richest man and owner of LVMH and Moet & Chandon.Sorry for my ignorance but who’s Arnault? TD? TD saying in a dinner party that they want a different champion this time?

The striped shirt is just a practice shirt, he will not wear that shirt in official competition.I don't like the striped shirt or red piping on the jacket
