This the motivation for Fedr's AO20 outfit.

Did Roger say that or is it the opinion of the person you talked to? I ask because it seems like every slam someone says the courts are slow and someone else says they’re not.
You actually believe this guy? This is obvious trollery. Someone else pulled this crap on the Fed News Thread before the AO in 2017 as well just to get people to take the bait. The court speed has been confirmed by people actually there and it's not slow.

Well that’s why I asked the question. I also remember the posters on Fed’s old website would always obsess about court speed as if it’s impossible for Roger to win on slower courts. That’s just nonsense. Whether the court is slightly faster or slower doesn’t matter that much IMO.

I wonder why Fed felt the need to release a statement? Was this criticism really getting that much attention?

I hope the colour of his shirt means he’s not gonna get one single day session as it’s impossible to play in black in the Melbourne sun and heat. I take it as Uniqlo has done some inside deal with AO

He's had a white version of basically every Uniqlo slam kit iirc, but it's never featured in the advertising release.

Lol, not you too!

There's a white version of the shirt (I think the first four pics are 'consumer' versions):

Fedr's outfit seems more premium, and with more details, see below:

The person on the sideline. Said it definitely looks slower than last year. Agreed that it can vary from person to person but it has been well documented that these new courts would be slower so I was just hoping it wasn't going to be a significant difference.

Look all I asked was how does the court speed look. Mainly due to this new green set surface we've just had laid. It does look a bit slow in Brisbane also hence me wanting to find out.

Oh my God this is not going to stop:

I’m now really worried for Roger. He will be asked about this in his presser. In fact he will be asked non stop wherever he goes in AO. It will be such distraction and frustration in this first slam in the year when Roger must be very focussed, more so when he didn’t play a warm up tournament. Can this girl just stop already??

Sorry I thought the girl responded to Roger’s response and told him to ‘wake up’. It looks like it’s not and just media recycling stories. Hope Roger’s statement has put this in bed now.

Just the fact that the idea of staying home and not going to AO came to his mind when presumably in previous years it never did sends me into handwringering mode.
Please a few more years.

I hear you. But from a different angle, it shows how big his heart is. I feel that part of his reason to consider not coming, even for a moment, was bc of the air quality, but he feels he has to show up to help with the relief event that, as he said, he knows will be arranged by Tennis Australia.

He's playing for a few more years ;). (at 1:00 in clip below)
