Since 2004, there have been 34 Grand Slams (not including Wimbledon this year), Federer has won 15 Grand Slams, he has lost to the eventual champion 12 times, he has lost to the eventual finalist 5 times. Only 2 times did he lose to an opponent who wasn't good enough to reach the final or win the tournament.

i believe since 2004 he has only lost 4 slam matches in straight sets, so he doesn't lose easily.

wonder how long it is before NSK/616360 turns upwith nadal stats?

2 to Novak, 1 to Nadal, 1 to Kuerten I think.

edit: yeah 3 to Novak nm. So that makes it 5 since 2004. 4 Since 2005.

Sorry, same time post. Yeah so 5 and only 4 since 2005. He needs to get Djokovic behind him and beat him on Friday.

Tsonga last year at Wimbledon. Who is the other?

Update: Looked it up. Kuerten at RG in 2004. Pfft, way before my time as a tennis fan.

This is irrelevant at the moment. You may as well talk about Sampras' 7 Wimbledon titles in 8 attempts. It is old news. We live in the present, so thinking of recent times (say, going back to 2008), Nadal leads the H2H 10-4 with Federer and Djokovic leads the slam H2H 5-3 (since 2008). Nadal has won 8 slams, Djokovic 5 slams, and Federer 4 slams. And this is not even the most recent we could go; if we went back to 2010 instead, Federer's record is much worse relative to those other players.
