Firehand drop technique and role model (Tsitsipas)

I had a talk with my coach today.
Basically it was about the right drop technique (for rec. players) and a good role model for it.
Here is an impressive illustration of what it was all about (14m 25s)

According to this, the ATP forehand is more difficult and Federer may not be a suitable role model for everybody.
What about Tsitsipas, though?

- Does he bring the racket on the edge before going forward as part of the preparation?
- Does he only supinate before going forward (wrist stays neutral) as part of the preparation?
- Or is the folding backwards of the racket already part of firing/the stroke and he has a classic ATP forehand (with less pat the dog)?

Here is a more recent video (he seems to have changed at least a little here):

I think it's a big difference if a pro is playing with an eastern FH vs. semiwestern FH grip. Federer has commented that he thinks that Tsitsipas uses an eastern grip that is similar to his.

Why tsitsipas though? What's special about his forehand?
Nothing special at all. It just seems to me that his preparation ends when the racquet points backwards and upwards. So the racquet is almost already on the edge. On the other hand, it seems that the wrist is not yet bent/flipped (WTA forehand).

He then comes very early into a position in which the wrist is already correctly aligned.

Never said anything about the issue discussed in the thread, but you just proved me right. :giggle:
Where’s the logic? Your statement said “everyone.” I can’t imagine “everyone” has been on the only tennis forum you and I cross paths on.

This should be everyone's blueprint to hit a forehand(or firehand)

He always thinks that way (that they are wrong). About everyone. Except him.
I will say it again as many times as neccesary. It'll be like this over and over again with this user. At this time it's pure trolling.

How come ?
For instance, you don’t swing the racquet through a pendulum shape. The result of a proper swing makes it look like you tried to do that, but is really the result of trying to do something very different. If you set out with the intention of swinging like a pendulum, you will only ever be close to doing it correctly. Internet pros are always pointing out what they see on a video, like you can’t see that for yourself.

Either they are keeping secrets from you or they don’t know themselves. I think it is the latter.
