First Gut Strings - Tension Advice?

Hello everyone,

Been playing with Poly Mains and Syn Gut/multi crosses for a while but thinking to switch over to gut for a while because i'm tired of constantly restringing.

My question is what tensions should I go for in a full gut bed, or maybe you all can suggest a good gut hybrid setup? Main reason I am thinking to switch over is because of tension stability in gut, hopefully won't have to restring as much.

Usually String my Ploy mains at 52lbs (PRC or ALU Fluoro), Crosses at 57lbs (PSGD, Sensation, or x-one).
What should I string Gut at?

Gut is going to be powerful whatever tension you are going to put in, you are better off going for a higher tension to achieve better control.

What is the recommended stringing tension of your racquet?

I've just started to use gut few weeks ago (vs team 17). The power level felt too high at 57lbs, when I normally use poly at 54 lbs. Now after 10 hours of playing I have learned to tame the animal. My game gets better and better every time now. All pain issues of the arm are gone too!
I'll never go back to poly-strings.
Just be patient adjustind your swing to full gut. You will be rewarded. Enjoy!
