Hi all,

Heard back from another source that the Black Granite Tour Racquet is slated for a early March 09 intro into the US Market.

My source of the Black Granite Tour Racquet release date was from a different web site hear in the U.S. and not T.W.

becasue its a well known fact in the tennis world, look at the prices of the frames and nearly all of there players have new contracts with other companys

Well known? Like I said, can you please show a link, or is this just a rumor? Or your opinion?

The prices of the older frames always go down before new frames come out, with every company. The No Tolerence is the old, Black Granite is the new ones coming out.

Yes a couple of players have moved, that doesn't exactly mean the end of a company.

well i work for a big racket shop in the uk and fisher are no longer trading, defo not in the uk and the us im pretty sure has also gone bust. all depends if they can get a buy out and fisher are not the brand they once were. the us website no longer has the frames on, the uk one does but has not been touched in 2months and like i say have heard directly from them they are no longer trading. i will try to confirm later next week, they will probably keep on as a ski brand as that is there biggest market

What are you talking about? The rackets are on their web site, they don't have the Granite line b/c they have not been released in the US yet.

Fischer has been notoriously bad about updating their web site, but just b/c they have old stuff doesn't mean they're out of business. Dunlop's site was down for months upon months and they're still around, so you shouldn't really go by that. (Not to say Dunlop's business is comparable to Fischer's of course.)

this is boring, ok, ur rite if it makes you happy. you will see, not worth my time or effert arguing a boring case any further. those rackets have been on show, on there website for about 2 months and no release date or info from them. like i said, i have actually heard it from them. im not going to contribute to this thread any more as you guys clearly just want to argue a never ending battle till some kind of confirmation comes through. if you know these threads you will know i have the reputation of knowing these things before most and am rarlly wrong.

Looks like you are correct.

That sucks about Fischer!!!! Hopefully the company can work something out, but it doesn't look good.

well, if they end in june, they can still release their last batch in march and let it finish itself up. maybe with a high enough demand, they might be able to save themselves or get someone to buy them out.

Ya I hope so. We'll see. If the Black Granite line has the same specs as the current no tolerance line, I'll buy 2 or 3 along with extra grommets in case they go out of business :(
