I can certainly understand and respect why TW has rules in place for posting (especially when it comes to "For Sale" posts, which are closely monitored and filtered).
But there is a flaw in the way you handle things: you penalize people (most of whom have done nothing in violation of your posting rules) preemptively, and then later, correct yourself.
This is evident in the "For Sale" section where you disallow EVERY post (even comments in reply to "For Sale" posts), and only after it has been approved, does the post show up (which can take quite a while if you post after business hours or on a weekend).
Again, I understand why you do this, but you must admit that it IS flawed. A more reasonable approach would be to allow posts to go through (or at least let comments to "For Sale" posts go through), while using a programmatic filter to eliminate those in gross violation, and then follow that up with human-filtering when necessary. In that way, you aren't penalizing 99% of your users (with a time delay) when their posts are perfectly in line with your posting rules. Additionally, it would require less human interaction on your part.
I don't expect you to change this, and I'm not asking you to, because I know it is probably fruitless to try. But I just wanted to point this out -- it can be very frustrating when you're trying to carry on a conversation with someone, only to find that your comments (perfectly legitimate comments) are being significantly delayed.
(Maybe this belongs in the rants/raves section?)
