for Boonie: any early thoughts on the Prince Textremes?

Noticed that Mark Boone has named the Prince Textreme Tour 95 as one of his top 3 all time racquets. Just wondering if we could get a taste of your thoughts on the newest Prince technology and their racquets. I'm sure the full reviews are forthcoming, but you got anything to entice us?

That would be a nice teaser for sure.

Also, when is the official ETA?

I've heard mid-March to early April.

The_Racketeer,

Thanks for writing in with the questions about what to expect from, and how much I am enjoying, the newer Prince frames in general, particularly the Tour 95; wow, word travels fast.

I actually do not want to really switch frames right now, but it is almost impossible for me to deny how much I enjoy, and play well with the newer Prince Tour 95. Personally, I feel it filled the gap, of what is missing from my Pro Staff 95S, which is its slight feeling of instability against the players who hit the ball with excessive pace, spin, and depth.

Another frame I love, and played with for quite some time, is the Dunlop 4D Aero Gel 200, which reminds me of the Prince Tour 95. The only reason I switched from the 4D 200, was due to its dense 18x20 pattern, and a 330-ish swing weight, which was a bit too low powered/ heavy to swing, for me.

The Pro Staff 95S was just on the other side of that, being a bit too light. With the Prince Tour 95's open pattern, 12 ounce strung weight, and what feels like a sub 320 swing weight, it bridges the gap between my Pro Staff 95S, and the 4D 200's feel/ performance. Comparing these frames to the, "Three Little Bears" story; the Prince Tour 95 is the perfect bowl of porridge for me; just right. I have spent about 20 hours on the court with the Tour 95 so far, thinking perhaps the Honeymoon Period will end, but I like playing with it more, each time I hit with it.

Chris (the Man) Edwards will sometimes describe a racquet as a, "point, and shoot" variety. Until this Prince Tour 95, I never felt like I could describe a racquet that way, but that is precisely how I feel with this stick. Applying the racquet head acceleration, right before contact, gets me a great result.

The look of a frame is not the most important thing to me, but I must admit that their low-key color schemes make the all newer Prince frames even more enticing. They feel, look, and play solid.

The inquiries are always welcomed, as is the fact that you chose Tennis Warehouse as a credible source of product information is appreciated. I hope the details help out, and any future questions are welcomed.
