one thing i found over the years is that... some of my wife's and daughter's nail polish comes in handy for touch ups... if the colours are right.
in any case, it can be quite easy to find the colour you need, BUT it can be tricky trying to hide the tennis racquet at the shop while trying to "match" the nail polish bottle to the racquet.... :X3::-D

Don't be shy about bringing a tennis racquet into a beauty supply place or section of Walgreens/Target. They are very understanding. As long as you walk out of there after buying a few bottles, they're happy. I will do touchup if asked and add the cost of the polish to the cost of the string job. FWIW, you can score points with the SO if you tell them why you are going and ask if they want to come. It helps sometimes to have 2 pairs of eyes when trying to match color.

I realize that the type of paint wouldnt be right, but doesnt even Lowe's and Home depot have some kind of scanner that can exactly match the Pantone colors?
Could you use that scanner, get the #, the search for that exact pantone color in beauty stores?

Or perhaps the racket companies could just tell us, since they already know? To quote Steve MArtin in SNL sketch "Theodoric of York, Medevial lawyer":

NAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

Lowes et al will scan the chip and from the readout tell their mixer what CYMB % to add to the white base. I do not believe the machine will tell you what the mix is tho it will spit out a label that can be scanned again if you want more of exactly the same color.

I've just gone to my local hobby store (e.g. Hobby Lobby or even better if a smaller, independent place) and bought model paint (Testor's or the like). I haven't tried to match the Clash Orange paint though -- don't know what the closest would be
