Going into 2010 after Del Potro had stunned Federer to create a blip in the big 4 dynasty, the breakdown of Slam Finals in the previous two seasons were as so:

Federer: 3-4
Nadal: 3-0
Djokovic: 1-0
Murray: 0-1

The next 4 seasons saw dominating 3/4 runs by Nadal and Djokovic. Federer declined but won a couple more Slams and made a few great runs and Murray finally broke through with two titles himself.

The only 5 set Final we got was the 2012 Aussie Open and no outside player made multiple Finals.

Year end rankings:

2010: Soderling 5th
2011: Ferrer 5th
2012: Ferrer 5th
2013: Ferrer 3rd, Del Potro 5th

So going off that the easy answer seems to be Ferrer, but although he had a late career blossoming, he only made 1 Final and was destroyed in that French Open by Nadal. He also didn't push the Top 4 very much.

Del Potro would have been right in there if healthy but he wasn't. Soderling too would have probably made some damage. Truly, 10-13 was a case of two guys who should have been competing sidelined due to injury. So it became the Novak/Nadal show.

I'd toss up Berdych for discussion. He only had the 1 Final but better played on grass against Nadal and 6 additional quarters or better. His overall ATP performance is what should get more recognition as he made 10 semifinals or better out of 35 outings and 10 additional quarterfinal exits. He was a force and pushed the Top 4 in his meetings. Notably 2012 Madrid, 2010 Canada, 2013 Cincinnati and 2012 Aussie Open. His year end ranking was very consistent alternating between 6th and 7th.
