From PD GT to Prestige - but which one?

Hi all,

So, I have been a PD user for years, and although I love the PD GT (and PD Team even better) for it's power, large sweet spot, and general ease of playing, I feel I should be progressing to a better "feel" racquet + My shoulder eventually plays up after a few weeks play, due to PD GT stiffness-?, overuse of shoulder, always power serving, getting older - or all of the above ;-(

I enjoy hitting with a Pure Storm GT on occasion, but I find I do have to be spot on the sweet spot, and really in the zone to bring my own power to the oarty for serving.

The Prestige racquest have always intrigued me, largely fromm posts I see here on the forum. When I look at the various models, I am confused between the Pro and MP (both 98 sq. inches), as the one which is a better migration path from my PD GT.

I will demo, but i have no local shop that carries both or eiher so I have to send for one at a time.

I am looking for the best prestige that allows me to maintain my only real weapon in playing which is serving. Decent pace 1st serve is flat, followed by a decent kicker.

My priorities :

1. Power for serving
2. Improved feel for ground strokes
3. Touch at the net

(I am mainly a Baseliner, with single hand back hand, and hang with better players because of my serve - my groundstrokes let me down though).

In terms of US ratings (I am based in the UK), I'll call myself a 3.5 in reality, and a wannabe 4.0!

I'm not going to answer in quite the way you want, but there is a big weight difference between a pd and a prestige, and a reasonable sized one between the two prestiges.

I'd say buy the mp and then weight it at 12 to get the serve you want, or just go with the pro.

From the Prestige line, the Prestige Pro most resembles the PD, because it has more power and spin than the Prestige Midplus.
