Let me rush this poll by you :)

Is Gasquet too tired for Raonic?

Raonic certainly would like to do better than in Toronto, but has a tough draw: Gasquet, Baghdatis, Berdych.

I would love to be in 2007 right now :)!

Raonic in 2.....I think Gasquet energy tank and emotions are going to be tested.

To right kishnabe, it was the year Novak Djokovic introduced himself to the tour and the fans.

It was the year he consecutively defeated the top 3 players in the world simultaneously.

Did you have an acid flashback or something when you made this thread mate?

This is a tough match-up for both players, considering it's only the 1st round. This match really depends on if Gasquet can carry his Rogers Cup form over to this tournament. If he can, I honestly think he can dispatch Raonic. I'm obviously cheering for the Canadian but he really didn't impress me at all last week. Hopefully he has more to give today against Gasquet.

True 2007 Montreal was the best Masters Series tournament I ever saw. The only final I ever saw in person. I became a ******** when he won the way he did against Roger. I easily went to getting pissed at him the way he choked the US open final having set points in each set.

Montreal 07 Novak and 08 Aussie Novak were the most aggresive I have ever seen Nole. Never was the same since.
2007 was best year personally for me as well!

Raonic is still little more than a serve machine. Sure he'll win a lot of matches with a high first serve percentage, but that doesn't make his game interesting to watch at all.

I've got to say, Raonic is moving better now. I mean, his movement's still not that great for a pro player, but it's improving.

Milos took Tsonga the way distance. He's a good bet for going deep here and the Open.

His ground game is flat at times..That Isner match in Roger's Cup was an example of that.

Right now he is playing his best ground game he is capable so far.

Depends which Milos appeared the US Open. It can be either San Jose/ Memphis/Halle/Madrid/Current Milos or the Rogers/Wimbledon/Olympics Milos.

There are times when Raonic is so smooth that if you were to touch him, your finger would slide right off. And that's not a line to be taken out of context.

He just held nicely without first serves. For a young guy he has amazing presence IMO. One thing worries me, he's already had a hip operation.

Agree that Raonic' ground game has been very inconsistent lately. But when it's one he's certainly a threat to anyone.

A deep run or two right about now could really bump up his ranking, as he was injured this time last year and is defending 0 points.

Good win for Raonic. Didn't watch the match but I'm assuming his forehand was on tonight. No consistency from him yet though. One night good one night bad.

Don't kno why you guys are giving Gasquet such a hard time. It's obvious he is still tired from Rogers Cup.

Lets see if Djokovic receives a similar treatment when he gets bounced early, say the 3rd round.

Gasquet is ranked 13, Millos at 19. Looked like they should swap that, at least

For this match sure but last week Gasquet toyed with Isner whilst Milos couldn't really do much against his serve, interestingly enough that is pretty much the difference between the two of them in the rankings as Raonic would have been up in top 15 had he made the final. I do think he'll be closing in on top 10 by the end of the year though.

Yeah, and since Rosol served bombs against Nadal at Wimbledon during that upset, I think they should swap rankings. I mean, who cares about every other tournament?
