Wilson put an NCode paintjob in his hands for a photo op on the Champs Elysees the day after his French Open win but it seems like he doesn't want to make the switch.

Yeah it's a midplus stretch. Check out this pic, it's a close up of his racquet and shows the text midplus stretch right on it. Don't think it's a paintjob either.

Nope, it's not. It's a Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 95. So far he hasn't liked the new N-Code frames. He keeps trying them though.

No, read the text clearly written on the racquet. Also, the string pattern is 18X20. Wilson would have no reason to paint Midplus Stretch on the racket even if someone claims it's the european version. There is no argument here.

It certainly looks like it says "MIDPLUS STRETCH" at 6 o'clock on top of the throat bridge to me in that pic. I also count 18 mains.

Look, Gaston does not use a long frame. YEs his frame has a 18 x 20 pattern. Wilson did not sell the 18 x 20 pattern 6.1 in the US. Trust me, he does not use a longer frame.

I thought it was said here before that it was the Classic 6.1 (Stretch). Anyway, do you have any specs on this HPS 6.1? Is Gaudio's version the really heavy/headlight one TW is selling? Or a more normal euro version?

I absolutely believe Tom. Anyone who doubts him likely has no experience in these matters. He is a pro stringer for goodness' sake! There have been articles featuring Tom and his stringing experiences posted on this site. When it comes to pros' equipment, he is one of the very few people on this board that actually know their rear from a hole in the ground.

Tom knows everything about racquets, I believe him about the stretch thing. Could it be that it was a stretch and has been shortened to 27, but the paint has been left the same? In any case, I thought someone who knew a while back said it was stretch, but it wasn't as good a source as Tom is, for sure.

I thought it was just the Euro Pro staff Classic 6.1 18x20 also known as the tour edition 27" frame with a paint job. But there is no reason why it can’t be the Hyper version either. Allot of pros have used this over the years in there time Henman, Rusedski, and others.

Hey Thomas has gaston really tried the ncode frames? Have any pros tried the real ncode frames?
Also the pros that use wilson sticks and use leather do they use wilson leather or babolat...I know gaston uses leather so does max and roger just wondering what kind of leather they use?
Iam switching to leather so Iam not sure whether to use wilson leather or babolat. I have heard alot of good about babolat...was just seeking advice
