Gauff's Troubles, or Sliding Down, Continues

Another loss and Gauff's confidence remains far, far away. Her coach, Diego Moyano, stepped aside before the clay court season and her father took over. A parent coaching never works out, especially on the pro tour. Yet I don't think that Moyano developed Gauff's play to highly compete on the pro tour. Yeah, Gauff made it to the French Open finals in 2022. Still, Gauff claimed that the 2022 season was a lost season. Still, I don't fully blame Moyano for Gauff's year-long decline. Perhaps, Gauff's father influenced too much during Mayano's coaching her.

Expert coaching in pro tennis is required. But so much to deal with, like the player's emotions, the player's natural tendencies whether, for example, aggressive or counter punching. A coach also must instill discipline into the player. Even in practice hitting, a player must treat every shot as the most important shot. And in matches treat every shot as the most important shot with all the athleticism. fundamentals, and concentration on the ball working together. No matter the improvement needed, instant improvement doesn't happen.

So much mentally, emotionally, and physically (including her far western forehand grip) has been established in Gauff's play. Years ago, my coach offered suggestions. I questioned them and asked: "How will that improve my play and my natural aggressive style of always attacking the net?" The coach explained and I replied, "O.K., I get it. We'll have to do a lot of work to make it natural. But I understand how your advice will fit my game." On the tennis court, I've always been motivated to improve until I scale to perfection.

I get great enjoyment playing tennis when all the mental, physical, and concentration attributes come together on a single shot even if the shot isn't an instant winner. In other words, I succeeded in doing on one shot what I'm supposed to do on every shot.

Losing to Alexandrova on grass isn't that alarming as Ekaterina is playing well right now, but the bagel in the second set was ugly.
She absolutely needs to fix that FH, I don't have the stats but she made tons of FH UEs today.
She is losing to almost all the top 30 players she is facing but somehow she is #6 at the race for the WTA finals. Tells you how open the tour currently is past Iga, Elena and Aryna (and even them, their consistency could drop quite a bit during the second part of the season).

Losing matches, especially those in the early rounds, leads to losing more early round matches in the future and that should alarm Gauff. The concrete expectation of winning matches no longer exists in Gauff.

Let me put it this way. Say, I'm struggling with one matter or another in a highly competitive match. Yet by my previous match victories, including those in tournament finals, I fully expect to win in another highly competitive match. An opponent can't control my ruthless will to win.
