Good footwork drills

I've been told from many people - my old coach, friends etc. - that my technique and skills are great, but where I'm lacking is in the footwork department. I really would like to make some progress in this area, especially because I've just been getting back into tennis after three busy years with much less exercise than usual. The lack of fitness seems to just compound the footwork problem. Plus, I'm aiming to get back to a high level and I understand better now that footwork is such an underrated part of the game. I was never able to truly excel back when I played for my high school and on the junior circuit and I think a big part of it was my sub-par footwork.

So, are there any drills I can do on my own or with a partner to improve in this area?
