i'm switching to the dunlop 200g, which is 18x20 and want to be able to generate good spin with this dense pattern. i usually use bb ace 18g in my old 300g and got loads of bite on my shots. does anyone have suggestions for a more spin-friendly string? how about the timo 18g?

dander, you are already using a very spin friendly string. I would recommend sticking with it, but dropping the tension on the 200G by 10% to equalize the feel. You have a smaller headsize and a denser pattern on the new racquet. It would feel like a cement block with TiMo in it at your usual tension.

In my Triad 6.0 (106 18x20) . . . I put TNT 18 in my mains and TNT Ruff in my crosses. I got loads of spin, but the power was off (It was a pain in the butt to string, too) . . . Bud

I have been using the 200G Muscle Weave for several years now and it also has a 18X20 string pattern. I have tried several different strings I found that BDE Performance feels so sweet. Lower tensions give more power tighter tension gives more spin. The soft frame along with the dense pattern allows strings last a good long time.

I had Prince perfection @62lbs in a 95 sqin frame and found it to have great spin. I really did not find out until I tried some other strings.

nxt, premier, synth gut. Non were as good for spin.
