Gosen OG Micro 17 vs Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17 reel (or other quality cheap reels)

Which Gosen string is the one that is best to buy in a reel?
There seems to be a lot more choices listed than I initially expected (OG Sheep Micro, without Sheep, Super, without Super, etc.) I don't even know the difference anymore. I am looking for a synthetic 17g and I don't feel like paying a bunch for NXT, NRG2, and Biphase :)
Is there any reason I should consider the 16g over the 17g?
Feel free to suggest another brand if something better comes to mind.

Mainly, I can't tell the difference from the reviews which of the two is better, I'm assuming the "OG Sheep Micro" is better because it's more money for less string but is it really worth it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I prefer the OG sheep micro, they are all very good strings for the price. The difference between the 16g and 17g would be the 17 would give a tad more spin and feel while giving less durability. I would go with the 16 gauge OG Sheep micro.

pow, I have some OG Micro 17 660' reels ($29.99 each) and on the packages they all have the word OG-Sheep so I believe they're very similar, if not the same, to the OG Sheep Micro version. I use 17 gauge but I also have a stringing machine so durability isn't much of an issue for me. It plays well and is inexpensive which is enough to keep me happy. I'm planning to hybrid it with some poly string to reduce the string movement (which you, coming from Lux I've noticed, are probably going to do too). The JC (Jim Courier) version is supposed to play quite well too, in this range.

Do you live in Davis? I'm in need of some local hitting partners.

Why do string manufacturers have to have such incredibly weird names for everything?

I just bought a $30 reel of Gosen 16 gauge synthetic. I think it says Sheep somewhere on the package. I have no idea what the differences are either.

Whoa, yea, I attend UC Davis. Small world. How'd you know? I'd be glad to play some time, although I have been flooded with homework lately.
I usually hit with Lux ALU Power, I'm hoping that the OG Micro Sheep 17 won't be too bad in terms of durability cuz I can't string myself but I felt that poly strings may be overdoing it in durability (and price) on a soon-to-come Redondo Mid.
