Green - Full ball

Hi All

I posted recently about a girl I teach who only does coaching..she's 11 and her old coach had her on full ball ( he had her on full ball since she started at 9 ) and parents wanted her to continue on full...now technically she has improved her groundstrokes and are decent but only when fed from me and ball is in good spot. Rally skills and judgement are very weak bc she doesn't practice or play matches and full ball is too high too quick and she's not getting a chance to put what I teach her into practice. In sessions for last 5 months off and on i have mainly been feeding and working on technique with full ball and tellin her to work on rally and judgement by practicing which she doesn't. I do rally with her a little but like I said ball is too fast and high when she played against another girl for first time. I would think improving her judgement and rally by going back to green..Any thoughts please

Also my confidence in myself as a coach is down bc of this..I feel I should of done it sooner but I wanted her to work on judgement in practice

You might give her easy feeds with regular balls but then switch to green dot balls for rallying. At least for now. Once she gets better with rallying with green balls, then switch her back to rallying with regular balls.
