half sleve vs leather

I have added a half size sleve on my 4 3/8 speedport tours. I like the balance with overgrip but now I think I would like it a bit (just a wee bit) smaller..sooooo, would taking the half sleve off, replacing grip with leather and then overgrip (like tourna or whatever) be about the same weight. Can't remember how much weight the half sleve added. I was having to add 2 overgrips to the 4 3/8 when I got them but believe it or not, the 4 1/2 with overgrip was too big.

I'd go with the 1/2 sleeve and 1 thin overgrip, because 2 overgrips will round off the bevels too much IMO.

oh yea, that is why I was wondering if I should take the half sleve off and replace it with a lether grip that ight be ahair thicker than the stretched original prince grip. I wold then put my regular overgrip over that.

If I do it the first way and leave the sleve, I guess I just need to get a really thin overgrip. any recomendations?
