Has anyone tried this? Use string savers to maintain tension

Recently, I have started using Bobolet string savers to prolong the life of my strings. It seems that the string savers also help to increase string tension. Once I feel the string tension has drop too low after restring, I will put a few (4X4 or 5X5) string savers in the middle to higher the tension. Few days later, when the tension is too low again, I will add few more string savers. I feel I am totally in control, since you can easily adjust the tension by removing or adding string savers. You can also reuse old string savers if you have the patient.

It will be nice to have the tool to measure what the tension is exactly. Too bad I do not have it. :( Maybe we can measure the effect of each string saver.

I broke one string about every month, so it helps a little to maintain the tension. It will be more beneficial if you do not break your strings very often, since there will be even greater tension loss. Just my 2 cents. Let me know what you feel about this. :D
